@Status0nline I always defended this ride saying it was not as bad as people made it out to be but whatever they did last off season was HORRIBLE. The shimmy at the tops of both high turns was annoying after a while but tolerable. Now that is gone but there's a god-awful jackhammering in the dip between them. I used to marathon this at night-have gotten 8 rides in a row on. I cannot marathon it anymore with the painful jackhammering.

I wish this ride was still as fast as this video portrays... I still love the Mean Streak though and hope they can keep it running forever! In fact, I wish they'd build another wooden coaster in the park. Maybe something El Toro-ish or Prowler-ish would be great, there's not enough wood at Cedar Point. This footage is older than 2009. If you look at the location were Maverick sits, the old flume ride is still there. Also, there are no trims on the first drop. I'm guessing that this might even be from the 1990's shortly after Mean Streak was built. It certainly doesn't look, or ride like that today.

You can also tell that the footage you are seeing is at least 10 or 15 years old. As the wood is no longer that color. It's more of a grey, as most wooden coasters get as they age, unless they are painted like Blue Streak.

Mean Sreak is very rough no matter where you sit. I rode it last year, and it sucked. There was no wait to ride, while Marverick had a 2 hour and 45 minute wait. that alone says a lot about Mean Streak. It's crap.
