  • nice, the product works, just not the recording part of it. I get a live preview, with sound, but the RECORD button does not work.

  • That's a live feed! Bullshit - this card is crap!!

  • does this have live feed (No Computer screen LAg)? while recording ? becuasei want to use my mac as a monitor for my gamign consoel via component

  • I was wondering, are there drivers for this device for Windows Vista or is it Mac only?

  • @GoroLink94 And yes, I've checked Black Magic's support and download pages, and I couldn't find anything.

  • @GoroLink94 I believe its for macs only

  • @InteractWeekly

What about do a 10sec search before answering?

"Intensity Pro is the world’s first HDMI and analog component, NTSC/PAL and s-video PCIe capture and playback card for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux computers."

  • Is there anyway to also record sound?

  • Could someone please help me? I am considering buying this but I have a few questions. Can you play your xbox 360 in 420p and then after convert the video to SD? I don't mind the video quality it turns out to be but i want to PLAY in HD. Also does it work with windows 7? thanks

  • @Brookztube its a mac product

  • does it work with XP?

  • So it doesn't work with vista?

  • they have the black amgic intensity but its $200 and it needs to go into a PCI slot so no laptop

  • what?

  • no the recorder won't accept anything higher than 480i

  • Can you play in HD and capture in SD at the same time?

  • You have to have the xbox on SD but you can record with the component cables and it has great quality. I make all the videos on my account with it. You can check them out to see. I purposely made the video non-HD so it won't lag.

  • This product was misleading because on the website it doesn't mention anything about not being able to accept hd through component. Also in the video he says you can record your 360 through component if you set the 360 to sd, but this is false because I have the product and have tried it. This product is still good for sd capturing but they need to clear thing up on the website.

  • Thanks you saved me $150.

  • Can you play in HD and capture in SD at the same time? I hate my dazzle because I hate playing in SD.. I don't mind recording in SD as long as I can play in HD.

    Thanks.

  • Video Recorder records SD video. If you're playing it back on your computer, you can use iTunes, VLC Player or QuickTime Player to scale it to fill your HD display but ultimately the video is still SD.

  • are you sure about that beacuse it does have HDMI cables.

  • This is my exact same problem, I cannot stand looking at standard resolution on my TV. I think that my only option is the hauppauge hd pvr, although it is a bit expensive.

  • @X0329 i just dont understand guys like you... dont want to offend you. Just why do you want to play and record at the same time. Just play and then record while in theather mode. It is just so much easier.

  • What do you mean play and record "while in theather mode" is there such an option for the XBOX 360? The whole point of having a capture card or a video of the gaming session is for gamebattles competitions. PC you can record without a capture card but for an XBOX 360 I'm sure you would need one unless you have a TV/Audio out that is connected to a DVR or VCR.

  • well component is hd. so you could capture in hd and play it back in hd. component and HDMI are both HD. HDMI is just more advanced.

  • component isnt full HD. HDMI is

  • Im sorry for commenting so late, but component is full HD, it just matters if the Hardware can display it, but since HDMI is all compact and in one cord people think it is Higher in definition when this is not true, also it depends on the company that manufactures the cable.

  • component only goes to 1080i. hdmi goes to 1080p

  • Wanna go google that, and then Re-reply :)

  • component is analog. HDMI is digital. analog suffers more information loss and quality loss than digital. therefore it starts in 1080p, but wont end it in most of the time.

  • ??? Im really confused about this product now.. Now with Component IN.. I would assume that this can capture my ps3 using Component output? but now after what the guy said on this video? U CAN ONLY CAPTURE IN SD? What is this all about? Why can you not capture in HD Component e.g. 720p? Is it the software thats incompatible? or the device... This product sounds misleading now, And for the price i dont see it is worth it..
