I prefer Charice's subtle version. For me, Christina had too many riffs and runs, basically, there was too much going on. But, please do not want start arguments between both artists. @TheKurtAction right dude.. probably the mike in use has not much filter to dampen the breathing sound. A cover made from foam rubber is often used as a protective sleeve. The foam does not prevent sound from entering the microphone and also acts as a shield against wind and breath sounds.

I can tell you this one thing, I was at the Dodgers stadium when this young girl sang the national anthem in 2009, she was the best I have ever heard in my life. This is in real life. I sat about 25 yards from her. I have never seen a reaction of such magnitude from the crowd in all the years of attending major league baseball games. You will just have to be there to understand.
