  • Bought same model today from Billy Hydes in Australia.

New, but they had lost the whammy bar. $800.

No Biggie, I have a drawer full of them collecting dust and spiderwebs.

  • awesome! i'm loving my Stiletto Classic too. I wanted you to know that you have a rare guitar. schecter only produced this model for 1 year and ended production shortly after the first production run. I was lucky to get mine because when it was at guitar center the plastic back plate was cracked and a knob was missing but i got a brake on the price $900. recientally i have done research & found that the value of this guitar has appreciated over the last fiew years. today retail is $1499.99

  • dogs?

  • Cool axe.....what's the neck size/profile like, super shreddy of bigger like a Les Paul?

  • god i want this guitar so bad.. they just HAD to discontinue it

  • Does the single tone control knob affect both single coil pickups???

  • Yes it does, this is an old demo btw I've become a lot better and also figured out how to get much better tones. I'll probably take this one down soon

The tone knob can also be pulled out, splitting the humbucker in the bridge. It gives it more treble and bite in both the bridge and bridge/middle settings. Splitting the humbucker really only sounds good if you have a good tube amp... otherwise it sounds thin and nasty

  • its got a dagger on the headstock... isnt it supposed to metal?

  • This is the ONLY good, musical and accurate video demo of this guitar on YouTube. Congratulations and thanks so much.

  • I LOVE that guitar

  • It looks great dude - convinced me to get as my next guitar ;)

  • Alright! Chili Peppers! I'm getting that guitar. JUst have to save a little money.

I came across it in a local guitar shop, and was stunned beyond belief of how great it sounded and felt. Perfect for pinch harmonics, long sustain.... it's just great.

Thanks for showing us the vid. Nice playing!

  • how much did this cost?

and is it good for metal?

  • New it costs $999. I got it used (basically new though) on ebay for $520.

I don't know if it is good for metal because I don't play metal, but it seems to be good for all the styles I play (rock, jazz, fusion, blues, etc.)

  • EMG pickups = Great for metal

  • check out KillswitchEngage42 channel ;)

  • nice playing. I'm definetely saving to buy that gutar. thanks for the demo

  • it has 24 frets a floyd rose, and emg pickups. of course its a good metal guitar.

  • I play RCHP, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Jerry C (of course), Kansas, Eagles, ACDC, and so much more on it as well.

    And... I don't care. tehe

  • 1. Tremolo goes both ways.

    2. Neck-thru gives it amazing sustain.

    3. It's good for playing rock definitely but I never play metal so I don't know.

The last riff is "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer.

  • kick ass dude.. that last riff you played sounds so familiar but i cant remember who plays

  • Sweet sound demo dude, i really am looking at this guitar and am considering buying it, i was just making sure it sounded awesome with metal (distortion) and it does. I have a few questions though.

1: can the tremolo go both up and down or only down?

2:How good is the sustain on that guitar?

3: would you say its a good guitar to play like metal and rock on?

    thanks,
