God I miss home! I´m Mexican-American from Los Angeles (Woodland HIlls, San Fernando Valley) presently living in Argentina, and with all due respect to my world family. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE MEXICAN FOOD! I have eaten my way across Latin America and had food from all over the world (thai and vietnamese has to be my second favorite) this scene reminds me of a saturday in my homes patio with my whole family around. On the other hand another curious fact involving Pozole is that you can only eat it on thursdays, this happens in the pacific coastal state of Guerrero, and it´s preparation totally differs from the Colima one, despite that both are only separated by the state of Michoacan.

"Menudo" is indeed one of México´s most popular soups just like "Pozole", hominy for americans, but it´s preparation varies from different regions all over the mexican territory. You can find it white, red (as seen in the show), green and also in the mexican state of Oaxaca it is prepared mixed with pozole and it´s called "Mondongo".
