  • Thanks for commenting Coldgin. I pulled the thumpr and installed the Comp Cam 280R. I got about 60 runs on it and only reset the rockers once. I just competed in the Super Chevy Show here and came in 3rd in the no box class, it was a blast. If I was to install another cam I would go even more aggressive profile.

  • Was wondering what cam you put in it as a solid roller... I am contemplating putting in the Big Mutha Thumpr hyd roller as well in my 468. I just chewed up the solid roller in it and replaced it with a 308 AR Comp solid roller that had less torque, but still run strong, then spun a rod bearing... pulling motor this week and rebuilding... Been having oiling issues... Have you experienced this as well?

  • Love the ride! Make sure to check out our COMP Cams youtube channel for videos and contests! Glad to see you enjoying the cams!

  • Nice looking car, but lose the ugly black stripes

  • @surrynet x2

  • are the mufflers flowmaster 2 chambers?

  • @greenjeens Hi, thx for the comment. The mufflers are Flowmaster Super 44's

  • that sounds healthy!

  • what does the vac have to do with the brake booster?? not being a smartass just trying to learn some things..

  • @blunts4dayzzz Most brake boosters use vacuum pressure and a diaphragm to greatly amplify your pedal input to the brake system. Low vacuum, and the force available to be applied to the diaphragm is too low to provide much assistance.

In situations like this, if it were a daily driver, you'd want to switch to a non-power setup, or a hydroboost brake booster (which uses pressure from the power steering pump to provide brake power assistance) like what diesels have (Desels don't make ANY vacuum).

  • why do you have stripes on the roof on a chevy thats for mustangs.

  • @Elipro427 Obviously you have never seen a stock Chevy Chevelle, racing stripes have been used on GM cars for years, Olds Cutlas had them too and many others.

  • @freespeachrulez MR KNO IT ALL CHEVY NEVER PUT THE STRIPES ON THE ROOF JUST HOOD AND TRUNK

  • @MegaChevyjoe Yes you are right, if you are talking about a stock chevy from the showroom. But the whole point of customized is you can do whatever you want, and if you want to see a chevy with racing stripes on the hood watch the video again. Ever see a chevy motor in a ford? Or a ford 460 in a chevy vega? Point made.

  • @freespeachrulez i have a 5.0 mustang with a 707cui and its a bbc based block

  • @MegaChevyjoe So what, it looks good.

  • dog thats a bad nova kinda of motor in it.

  • 1973 nova ss or clone?

  • sound great nice car

  • very nice witch cam did you choose?

  • Jesus you just mist the house...

    sound cool..

  • How much stall you got in your torque converter?.

  • 3500 stall

  • that made me smile. Why did you pull it? was the swap to the solid worth it?

  • Incredible difference with the new solid roller. I took it t the track to see the difference but lost my belt and lost my coolant.

I just put a Mach 1" serpintine belt in and will head back to test the set-up.

  • sound pretty nice i have a 71 nova

  • how much vac did u have at idle??

  • 6-8hg. not enough for brake booster.

  • which thumpr cam do you have? Is it the thumpr, the mutha thumpr, or the big mutha thumpr? flat tappet or roller? It sounds bitchin'!

  • I Installed the big mutha thumper. I Just pulled it to put in a solid roller
