Wow. I have been searching for this show forEVER since it initially showed on HBO Family back when it had that tremendous line-up of nothing but gaze-mazing shows. Thank you so VERY much for setting off a time-bomb of nostalgia in this nerdy, far-too-emotional heart of mine. The song is Perfidia

I'm almost positive the version used here is by Mambo All Stars, but sped up a bit to fit better in an opening credit sequence, and to be more like the pace of the original by Perez Prado.

Both are good versions, but I like Perez Prado's version more. There's more energy and zing to it.
