  • Being that I am from Philly, I love Philly cheesesteaks, but I also love watching other people's interpretations of a Philly cheesesteak. This certainly looks delicious, there are so many variations, I don't think I've ever met a philly cheesesteak I didn't like. ;-)

  • @Jaisanna Thank you! I am happy you like this and appreciate you stopping by!

  • Hint: Put a cut of meat like that in the freezer for 1/2 hour or so to make it easier to cut whilst raw....

  • @therealkaraokekenny Great hint! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • @pastryparrot1 oh my goodness!! Looks sooo good! Makes my mouth water! I am going to try this tommorow night for dinner :) oh and just ignore that guy down there he obviously thinks he is better than everyone else. People can cook how they want. Great job though!!

  • @dbrown251 You are welcome! Thank you very much! I hope it comes out fantastic! Have a great week!

  • Thanks for the video, i have been toying with the idea of making a cheese steak wrap and this gave me some technical pointers! good job

  • I just got done eating a chicken Philly and after watching this video I'm hungry again.

  • @KwNJn1 I hate when that happens! Thanks for stopping by!

  • Using a different kind of meat in a well know sandwich and then calling it that sandwich is wrong period. You made a steak sandwich PERIOD.Not a philly which has rib eye as its meat..What part dont you get.Call it what it is thats all .Thats like making a turkey sandwich with chicken .What just cause you make up a steak sandwich and decide to call it a philly serious.

  • @icerat4 OK. Thank you. Have a great week.

  • @icerat4 damn guy relax you ass holy shit lol

  • @icerat4 wow you're a jackass, but calling you a jackass is wrong. that's like calling a retarded kid a retard. so good job :) thanks for the informative information!

  • Sorry wrong steak uesed RIB EYE IS CORRECT. Onions are to large OF A CUT and you have the wrong bread.FAIL.

  • @icerat4 What is up with you people this week? This is a fantastic sandwich. You use the meat, onion and bread you like on yours. This is absolutely far from a fail. I am amazed at how narrow minded some of you are in the kitchen! Can you imagine how boring it would be if we all cooked the same way. Dude. Thank you for coming by and have a good week.

  • @pastryparrot1 Don't listen to these people. I think it looks delicious :-D

Plus, everyone has there own way of cooking things. After all, you are the frugal chef :-)

  • @Pecker6914 Thank you! I really appreciate your message. Have a great week!

  • Looks great, I'm gonna do some of these tonight.

  • @ceustaquiop Great! I hope they come out perfect for you! Thank you for coming by!

  • This looks so good. Can't wait to eat it. I'm making it tomorrow. Also plan on making your burritos and taco pizza soon. Your recipes are awesome.

  • @floridafloyd1 Great! I hope you love them! I appreciate you giving these a try! Thank you!

  • The cut of meat you selected is not used anywhere in Philly for cheese steaks.

You use paper thin ribeye for a philly steak. Your cuts are way to thick.

The onions must be diced and you cannot use baguettes. Amoroso or similar rolls must be used.

    Where is the cheez wiz?

  • @logictrigger Thank you for coming by. Have a great week.

  • this is really helpful! thnx dear! n i do think u hv a great personality :)

  • @kurkur078 Thank you! I really appreciate you coming by! Have a great week!

  • Sometimes I wish you were my mommy, frugal chef :)

  • @Pecker6914 Awww . . that is so sweet! Thanks!

  • I made this tonight and it was a HUGE hit! Thank you so much. I am an awful cook but your video made it look easy! I can't wait to make it again!

  • @micherrera Awesome! I am so happy to hear this worked for you! Thank you for letting me know! Have a great week.

  • Bell Peppers do not belong on a Philly Cheese Steak! Thinly sliced chopped steak, caramelized onions, and cheese whiz on a nice hoagie roll are the main ingredients.

  • @brentdnowicki Thank you for coming by. Frankly, any cheese that is stored on a shelf is not something I will feed anyone I love. Have a great 2012.

  • what is up with the cruel stupid sensless comments? this person is very good at what she does and that is cooking great food creative food without going broke. i am very surprised she has not been contacted by foodnetwork to host her own show! if you can not say anything nice or have a problem with manners, dont watch! jelousy over someone elses talent and sucsess is downright ugly.

  • @nouba898 Thank you!

  • wow. there are so many mean jelous people who comment here. get a life.

  • @nouba898 I know, huh?

  • do you have any advice on how to easy dice onions and to get the onion smell off your hands? also this was a fantastic recipe, we used carne asada meat and it turned out yummy.

  • @nouba898 Great! I am happy to hear this worked for you. To dice onion - peel it and cut it in half. Place half on a cutting board, flat side down. Cut it in half, horizontally, but not all the way. If it is a big onion cut it in thirds. Now slice it thinly. You will end up with chopped onion.

I remove onion smell by rubbing my hands with a cut up lemon or lime. That works great for me. Thank you very much for stopping by!

  • @pastryparrot1 thank you works perfect! also the lemon does get rid of the smelly onion fingers i then put yhe used lemon in the garbage diposil and now it smells clean!

  • @nouba898 Very cool! I am glad this helped!

  • There are no bell peppers in a phila cheese steak

  • @Kyles45Angel Thank you for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

  • Wonderful! Thank you for the recipe :)

  • @silentswan12 You are welcome! Thank you for coming by!

  • Your husband is a really lucky man =P

  • @ruler127 Thank you! I will make sure to remind him! I appreciate you coming by! Happy New Year to you!

  • You NEVER cook the onions with the meat. NEVER. The water from the onions ruins the juice from the meat, and the water from the meat ruins the carmelization of the sugars in the onions. She was SO CLOSE too. What a shame.

  • Never Peppers. Seriously.. like putting toenails on Pizza

  • Im making this recipe right now! Never made Philly Cheese Steak before and didnt know it was that easy! Cant wait to try it! Keep your good recipes coming!

  • @timekiller80 Thank you! I hope this comes out perfect for you!

  • @underpedz818 Hiding behind your computer does not make you all that brave. Sorry. Please refrain from calling me your family names.

  • @underpedz818 Here in Texas we do harvest our own deer and cattle. My husband and I make this recipe with deer meat (which he killed himself with a bow), and not only is it delicious but its very lean and even cheaper!

  • @pastryparrot1 Thanks hun, now try to teach those American losers the right way to enjoy food the way they were meant!

  • @underpedz818 You appear to have your youtube account set to "UNITED STATES" as well, loser.

  • This got me hungry

  • @xxnoobk1llerx Thanks for watching!

  • conola oil is the seasoning i use. i am from philly and many people here own their own flat top griddle grills. what we do is there is north phily steaks and south philly steaks. steaks consist of rib eye steak meat sliced pretty tick, and placed on the grill. depending on style the meat will be chopped (south) or left whole(north). whiz is popular here just, they cook it even more in traditonal shops here. so if you want whiz, you must heat it up for 15 mins and get it oozing.

  • @tslabjr7 Thank you so much for coming by and watching!

  • Right on! Last time I made these, I made the bad mistake of using cheeze whix...terrible!!! Provelone is the only was to go!

  • Looks good, heres a tip for cutting steak extremely thin, stick it in the freezer for an hour or hour and a half so that the meat has slightly frozen. It makes your job much easier.

  • @Pripyat1 Yes it does! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a great day!
