I was a cinematographer on an independent movie a few years back. We definitely had an EVP on the raw footage when playing it back on both tracks in the edit suite (the two mics recording the separate tracks were 30 feet apart with the particular setup). Yes, demons and angels do exist. I believe.

Yes, at 00:15 I can hear the lower frequency "Wait". EVP's are found in greater numbers outside of cemeteries. Where ever you find high life energy, like in amusement parks, farmers markets, churches, parks, parking structures, shopping centers, or just walking down a street that is parallel to a heavily used pedestrian street. I get some of my best ones on Marsh St in downtown San Luis Obispo, Ca. which parallels the main street called Higura St. They know me by name now.

I don't know about you, but I have never been scared by a "ghost". I love them, and respect them and have never felt at all threatened. I have hunted at Waverly Hills in Louisville KY, was gently touched in the small of my back...and I was not scared at all...it was thrilling and I feel very blessed to have had the experiences that I've had. I just want to know WHY and WHAT they are!!! I hope that being a "ghost" is a viable "choice" in the afterlife...THAT would be awesome!!!

Really nice. You sound a lot like me...I do a little solitary ghost hunting myself, down here in southeast alabama. There are a lot of "abandoned" grave yards around here...trees growing right up through the actual GRAVES...one in particular near my house I am very fond of. I captured a picture of a little old man sitting up against a tree looking at me quite quizzically...one of the wackadoodle cab drivers that I used to work with actually stole it from me and burned it so I here(con't)...

I have never had any luck with digital anything, camera, audio, video...I prefer to hunt sans digital, for that reason. @MOARITT Hi!I was walking away from the grave when this evp took place.I record our investigations with a vid cam, and im so glad we do,cuz we were able to verify that the "wait" was not our son or any of us for that matter and we can line up the voice recording w/ what we R doing on vid to see if it can be anything else.(that last part I wanted to verify to everyone who watched my vids) when I 1st heard this I skipped over it cuz I thought it was my son,so if u can,vid ur investigations every1!

you are capturing and listening to the sound "through" the audio, digital recorder...

therefore, with your own ears... you can hear the evp recording on the spot...

Once I got an EVP while I was playing a game in my house. I was playing N+ where is is very easy to die and deaths are very cruel. I got zapped to death while I was recording me playing for a playthrough and then right as soon as your see my character die an almost inhuman voice said "That was brutal" No one was around me and I was playing the game at night with ALL THE LIGHTS OFF. (N+ for Xbox 360)

btw this was on a video that I made for my playthrough. What's your opinion on this?

electronic voice phenomenon. hence e.v.p you cannot hear it with your ears, so you have to record a clip a few minutes long ina haunted area, or a graveyard, or a persons place of death, and ask questions, give them a few seconds to respond, blah blah blah, but you can only hear their answers when you look back on the recording sadly , lol i wish i could come out with a device that woudl record their voices and simultaneously put their voice OUT through a headset, but still record and all

@GenevaSuspension sorry nope some thing are said really low and scratchy and you can hear it better and you have proof it you have a digital recorder so they are diffrent

A digital recorder "records" a pressure wave just like our ears...if it's too low to hear in person, replaying it from a digital recorder it will still be too low. Using a program to change the frequency of the sound doesn't count.

This all said...people will hear what they want to hear...and see what they want to see, especially if they believe in these things.

a Haunting in Connecticut will open on Mar 27.

It is a true story and based on a book called Into the Dark (i think) a copy of which is on Ebay for $550, weird. Anyway there was a documentary years ago as well. I don't know the town whrere the house is but you might be able to find out.

Sometimes I think that they just want attention.  Had a terrible, hours long ordeal when babysitting as a teen. I kept looking for small animals or anything that could explain what was happening. Then, indents on the rug near where I sat, as though someone were pacing. I stood on the rug hoping to catch the "small animal" when I felt as though a hood had been placed over my head, couldn't see or breathe, felt faint & fell to my knees. Upon admitting that it was a ghost, it all abated.

I always videotape when I do this, it helps a lot cuz I can see and line up everything and know what was us, etc.We also try to note backround sounds so we dont confuse them. Hi Pete! Yes you can!!! Believe it or not, I paid about 20 dollars 4 my Digital EVP recorder!! Dont let the fancy name fool ya! I got mine at a large Retail store, i u know what I mean ;) .
