Yeah they are n-fabs and I can't remember how much I paid now. I remember it was a good deal from 4 wheel parts during one of their big sales. They are VERY stout steps too and hold up to rocks very well.
@redswr That's cool. Well I actually just traded the titan on a jk unlimited rubicon this past monday. I'll still be on titantalk though because I've been on there a long time and have some good friends on there. Hopefully I can some videos soon of the new rubicon out playing!
couple of years ago when they made a real truck commercial advertising its potential I liked it, because Nissan is probably the biggest underdog (popularity wise) because everybody is so hyped up on "tuff" trucks, and Nissan stepped to the plate when they needed too.
@Captan6pack No, I only have a leveling kit. The first truck on this vid isn't mine and it does have a 6" lift on 35's. My truck is the second one on this video with the punisher skull on the rear window.
After seeing this video I love my e-locker even more on my f150. Works like a charm in those situations. 09 fx4 with 2 1/2" level kit And 35x12.5 mudgrapplers
@brutebog650 Yeah I really wish I would have gotten the pro-4x package with the electric rear locker. I still make due without it though, just takes a little more "grunt" instead of being able to finesse my way through stuff. If you watch the silver one (the first one on the video) he has a rear locker and makes it look like childs play going through there. The video also does no justice just how deep and off camber those ruts were. I had two wheels off the ground when I kept coming to a stop.
@rumerboyz I love my truck! I haven't had any issues with it at all and I run it hard. The only thing I really wish they had done with the titan is spend the little bit extra and put either a heavy limited slip or a type of mechanical locker in the rear. They have the electronic locker on the offroad package trucks but you have to be in 4lo to activate it which pretty much makes it useless. What good is a locker if you're already in 4lo??
I have a 06 4x4 off road version which is the same as the pro 4x minus a updated interior, love my truck and the rear locker is clutch. Are any of the trucks besides the first one even 4x4?
@thoma015 The rear locker on the pro-4x models and offroad models (pre 2008's) have a full electric LOCKER, it is not clutch design because that would be a limited slip. And all of the trucks in the video were 4wd. What you can't see on the video is that their were deep, staggered ruts that flexed out the front and rear suspensions and our trucks being open diffed just spun the unloaded front and rear tires, hence why we had to get a little momentum to get through it.
@thoma015 Not to mention a 2wd truck wouldn't make it anywhere in Rausch Creek even with a locker. And the first truck that made it look so easy has a tru trac locker in the rear instead of the factory electric locker that can only be engaged in 4lo which makes it kind of useless.
@thoma015 If you're good with wiring there is a "how to" thread on titantalk on how to re-wire it so you can use it in 2wd, 4hi or 4lo. Also if you have an 07 or older you can just throw in a trutrac locker and then you'll have a streetable locker that's "on" all the time. The guy in the big silver one had the factory electric locker and swapped it for a trutrac and it performed AWESOME at rausch creek! He made everything look so easy with that locker in the rear!
@cdab1985 How do we not know how to offroad asshole? Because we don't trash our $30-40K daily driver trucks? It's called a group of guys out enjoying the trails and having a good time and not destroying their trucks in the mean time. Thanks for your "expert" opinion though.

Great demonstration of how easy some people can get stuck, doesn't look that bad but the wrong approach or the wrong throttling and you going nowhere. Lockers do help a lot, but driver makes a lot of difference also. Cool video.
@Simplyred4x4 Thank you for the compliment. We had a blast and were all fairly newbies at this kind of offroading. Their wasn't much room to adjust approach though due to trees on both sides. Everyone in our group made it though, some (like me) took a few tries though. lol
titans are awsome trucks! i really considered a pro 4x titan before i bought my trailblazer ss. my only issue was the lack of aftermarket support for perfomance parts compared to the gm trucks. my trailblazer ss is awd with the locking rear and i would like to see how it would do on that section! lol on the factory 20s too! lmao!
@BLACKLACDTS The TBSS's are sweet but wouldn't have had near enough ground clearance for that spot. LOL The video honestly does it NO justice at all. I'm on 35's and still drug my gas tank skid! And yeah the aftermarket is all but non-existant for the titans which sucks. And I regret not spending the little bit extra and getting the pro-4x model. I would have walked right through this spot with it's electric locker!
@cfltitan yea man my trailblazer will never see any thing like that unless im runnin for my life!!! lmao! but i was very very close to buying a pro 4x but a guy with 1 told me for what i want to do its not a wise decision because they are limited in parts. maybe when i pay off the ss i will get a pr04x!
@rekjavicxxx HA HA yeah open diffs suck BIG time!!! The big silver one made it look real easy because he's lifted 6" and has a tru trac in the rear. Unfortunately in Nissans wisdom they changed the rears just enough in 08 that the locker won't work in our rear and nobody ha came out with one yet for the 08+ rears.
@cfltitan Dang, that sucks. I know my Silv does wonders with that locking rear diff. Often, I don't even have to put it in 4WD......locker does work and takes care of business :D
Looks Like Fun but my T is a 2wd with no lock diff so i'm not going to try that. But looks fun

I didn't think they made 4x4 trucks with open diffs I thought they were all LSD. Am I wrong?

@Funnymonkey941 Thank you! They're actually pretty badass trucks. They're built like a tank and make a TON of horsepower.

My bad....thats more than a 2" level you got going on there. Looks a little more lifted that the video I just watched before this one.
