The building collapses and all the fuel rods that haven't melted yet will be scattered on the ground. Although it's not much worse than where they are, either way, they are exposed to the atmosphere. @D33Lux well, about the only real surefire way to at least try to protect yourself is to beware of what you eat and drink, get a Geiger Counter and scan your food before purchasing or consuming and study radioactive detoxification methods. I'm going to be flat out honest with you. There is no way to 100% stop this stuff. Study Chernobyl, then Fukushima and you can draw your own opinions regarding this entire situation regarding nuclear energy all together. Study nuclear weapon fuel too.
