Well, I'd go with the inverse. A religion with a god is bad. But more specifically, a god that tells you to kill anyone who doesn't believe in him/her/it. Or a god that makes promises or threats only to be fulfilled after death.

That's why I said it was a subtle argument. His words were antitheistic in general, but his intent was only to talk about Islam in specific.
It's interesting how "easy" it is to see that someone else's religion is wrong, but how difficult it is to then look at one's own religion critically.

While I actually think their behavior can be an argument against theism (such as murdering infidels - something rooted in theism), that's not exactly the subtle argument I'm saying Newt is making. I was only talking about 3:03-3:40.

I am misunderstanding how this is at any way antitheism. His statements were about how Iran believes they area martyr nation and therefore when their enemies die they go to hell and when iranians die they go to heaven. That was his point. He actually states that with the Saudi's not allowing Jews and Christians to practice their religion.
It was a focus on how we need to wake up and put all our efforts to win against terrorism in a focused manner with all of us going toward a goal.

It's antitheism because he points out that what Iran believes is religiously motivated. Their murderous actions are based solely on the belief that they will go to heaven and their enemies will go to hell. The real key here is belief.
I'll agree with you that this was not the point of his speech. But it was still an important point.

I can't handle Newt because he should be the guy running for President. He sat it out for his own reasons, but I feel history was calling a man like him this time around. Oh well! As for all those deranged souls who are still fixated on New Orleans, Bush, "killing for oil" (and just LOOK at all that Iraqi oil we're stealing!), Halliburton, etc., remember this speech when a major American city is nuked.

People may not care for this man, I don't know why. Most of the nation is influanced by Hollywood and the media. There are books out ther like "Because They Hate" by Brigitte Gabriel and one by Nonie Darwish (terrorist daughter) called "Now They Call Me Infidel".
I think this Nation is doing the same thing they did fefore WWII. I don't think the terrorist will let this war end no matter who is in the White House, they are going to watch us go broke. Its happening now.

If Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul combined win 58% of the remaining delegates they will have to have a brokered convention. Paul is good for 4% so Huckabee will need to win 54%. It can be done.

Our constitution can only be gutted if we let it. Have you called or written your senator or congressman to voice your disapproval of anything that the legislature has done concerning their actions in this war? I have. I let them know exactly how I feel about many policy decisions. That is how we keep "them" form gutting the constitution. Don't just sit around and bitch about how "they" are doing it. Call and write them with your opinions and suggestions. That is the constitution.

They never provided a thread of proof of WMDs and yet you all still buy into it. They said we would be there for a few weeks. 6-years later, they have 14 permanent military bases in Iraq and say the war will go on for 100 years....

Newt presents his fears of terrorists and links them with larger nonspecific groups. He leads us up to a point of needing to take immediate action and leaves it open to the viewers imagination. I believe the international actions we have taken the last 7 years have been VERY detrimental to all other countries trusting our motives. When you preach killing - you are the terrorist!
