@jamiekate I'm with you. I know Motor Master is suppose to have control of the stunticons through fear. But I don't really see that. I''ve always felt he was a good group leader. (Look at the way he wins over the depressed and despondent Dead End.)

Also, the concept of Motor Master keeping control of his group through fear is absurd. If this were the case, he would face revolt after revolt. Even a bad guy should know that keeping control through fear won't last for long.

I usually found Motor Master to be not only loyal to Megatron, but a decent leader of his group. I wouldn't have had a problem with his authority. I like how he doesn't say: "Obey me or else." He makes it clear why his command makes sense .

My favorite episode remains "The Trans Europe Express." I like how the Stunticons get their chance to beat up the autobots.

@jamiekate Well, I really like that one because it's nice to see some of the other autobots have their time in the spotlight.

I also like how the decepticons held the upperhand for a long time. I liked how the stunticons had interesting personalities and that Motor Master was a decent leader as bad guys go. Motor Master reminded me of a former employer of mine. (Decent guy actually.)

@jamiekate Forgot one thing. I liked the Stunticons because they were an interesting 'bad guy' group. Their 1st loyalty was to each other.

But while they were first loyal to each other, Motor Master knew when to tell them loyalty to Megatron was necessary.

I also had to give a certain amount of respect to Motor Master in that he was dealing with Dragstrip who had a swollen ego, and Dead End who had something of a deathwish.

@eternalhalloween1 Call me crazy, but I've always seen MotorMaster as an older brother. Why? He knows exactly how to handle each of his younger siblings without hurting them, and he also knows whats best for them. Yet, he does take unnessisary actions sometimes. Like in "Masquerade", he took on Optimus and got his tail kicked.

I didnt really like "The Gambler". My favs have been "Masquerade," "Prime Target," and "Traitor." As I'm typing, more come to mind, so we might be here a while! XD

(I think it would have been more appropriate to name him 'Death Wish," but they probably couldn't risk that connotation in a kid's show. As far as a bad guy leader goes, MM is pretty admirable.

I remember one post movie episode where I was right with MM when he said Galvatron was getting out of control. (The one where GT went to an institution.)

@jamiekate Well yea. Many people felt the same way. With a little thought, we can see that the movie was just a way to 'kill off the old toys,' and start advertising the 'new toys.'

And the sad thing was, it seemed that they were FINALLY getting down an interesting formula where you could have an interesting group like the stunticons who were more into their own group. but knew when they had to show loyalty to Megatron.

If they had delayed the movie, the series may have improved.

@jamiekate They could have worked on expanding the characters of the decepticons. I feel the MT vs SS plot could have worked better if SS had had some legitimate gripes against MT. (And maybe some Decepticons sided with SS for legitimate reasons.)

They could have focused more on other criminals in the galaxy like "The Gambler."

It didn't always have to be the sam AB vs DC plot.

The Protectobots were just another set of characters made to eat more money.

@jamiekate My biggest problem with the MT vs SS plot was that it made no sense. If MT were an idiot or a tyrnat maybe SS could have pulled it off.

But SS had no legitimate reason to hate MT. Even if SS had defeated MT, there is no way he would have kept control. Too many decepticons respected MT. SS never really had enough respect of the other Decepticons to pull it off. And this moment underlines that.

More human villains may have allowed more plots. Especially if MT had to help OP.

My biggest problem with this is that allowing for reality, Megatron would have never tolerated this many accounts of treason.  Another thing is even if Star Scream did gain control, how could he expect to keep control? Megatron was a respected leader. And anyone loyal to Megatron would have killed SS. If Megatron were an idiot or a tyrant, maybe SS could get away with it. But Megatron IS NOR AN IDIOT NOR A TYRANT TO HIS FOLLOWERS. That said, I like how Menosor saved the day.

OH YEA THOSE WERE THE DAYS. Notice the art style back then, although the storyline by todays standards are pretty low, it captures intrigue, it has great music backing it up and the robots were just BADASS. The first time anyone saw Devastator = EPIC. The first time Bruticus appeared = EPIC. The first time they introduced the stunticons = EPIC. The first time Predaking made his appearance = EPIC. The first time Abominus appeared = EPIC.
