  • Someone please tell me what 'hockta' means???

  • This always cheers me up!

  • 21 people clearly just like to troll, what's to dislike!?

  • I love the "Hockuta-Hockuta" It makes me lol everytime.

  • Tom Henderson is gonna have a jolly good time there @ the office!

  • 21 people are wankers.

  • Reminds me reaction which occurs every time someone mentions some TV broadcasting company or a major record label on youtube.

  • I AM Tom Henderson

  • @reproduktsioon YOU FUCKING WANKER

  • @reproduktsioon Oh no not him no way you must be joking the guy is wanker

  • no way hes a bloody wanker ! lmao

    hella funny

  • FIRST CLASS COMEDY

  • My name is 'Tom Henderson'...

    hmmm...

  • Hockta Hockta Hockta!

  • he's a Wanker ! hahahahaahhaha

  • I love how everyone's got their own line to say but you only really hear Pegg's line XD

    OoohNoooWayyYouMustBeJokingICantBeliiieeeveItTheGuyIsAWanker!

  • BOOM-YUP!!!

  • The guy is a wanker lol

  • ...wanker!!!! ROTFLOL XD

  • fucking funny!!

  • "...wanker!"

    Brilliantly timed.

  • No it was 1998 and season 2 was in 2001.

  • HAKA DA HAKA DA HAKA DA!

  • i think i was 1 when this was on TV was it 1996 ?

too bad i love this show its soooo funny and it has Mark Heap & Simon Pegg

  • Classic lol

  • Haha, hilarious stuff.

  • This is one of the funniest sketches ever made-I never forgot the show or this sketch.Absolute comic genius!I wish they would bring it back

  • The writers did a similar joke in Father Ted in the sheep episode where one of the men in the the crowd says "Fecking hell!" in amongst people gasping in shock.

  • Yes! I remember that! That was brilliant!

  • Literally my favourite comedy sketch of all time. Not just from Big Train. Fantastic timing.

    x

  • Brilliant

  • I love the way Simon Pegg's line went on for slightly longer so each time the word 'wanker' was said as everyone else went silent :]

Big Train is funny as hell, complete class.

  • what the hell is hockata?

i went through all 25 pages of comments and NO ONE says what it is!!

    HELP. :(

  • hockata is nothing, its takingh the mick out of the whole sketch itself its like they all say that for her aswell, its hard to explain but the word hockata is not significant its that they all do that in unison, i dunno if that helps

  • @SKEETSURFING25 I always took it to be some kind of 'cor, she's fit' type of reaction.

  • Why cant we get this kind of comedy here in the US. I love it. You Brits are hillarious and spot on.

  • They dont show british shows in the US? :O

  • written by 2 irishmen

  • thank u finnally a american who doesnt think us brits are always drunk cause were not.. all depends how many boy/girlfriends u lose Lol

luv the sketch simon always has to have the last word in everything

  • british comedy is supposed to be a little silly yet satirical

  • There is far more depth to Monty Python than its silliness.

  • but Python ain't that funny & has dated quite badly. Spike Milligan has always been better, more irreverent.

  • Spike Milligan was great, but I don't understand how you can like him but not the Monty Python crew when they were essentially making the same kind of comedy.

Also, have you not seen The Life of Brian? You don't get much more irreverent than that, especially for its time. Monty Python takes the piss out of all sorts, and much of it is pretty timeless.

  • Milligan always seemed natural, Python felt strained and contrived to me.

  • I haven't heard it criticized for that before. I've never thought that of it personally. But fair enough if thats your opinion of it.

  • No he said Tom Benderson

  • I just want to say, "Tom Henderson"

  • no way i cannot believe it that guy is a wanker!

  • the guy's a wanker

  • "No way, I can't believe it. That guy is a wanker!" Ha

  • HAHA FECKING HILARIOUS !

  • LMAO I luv it 5/5

  • Simon Pegg!!!

  • HOKATA! HOKATA! HOKATA!

copy and paste it and try audio preview!

  • HOKATA! HOKATA! HOKATA!

    lol

  • "Oh no, not him, you must be joking."

"No way, I can't believe it, the guy's a wanker."

I think Julia is calling him a "twat".

  • not simon pegg the line he says

  • He says, "No way, I can't believe it,the guys a wanker!"

  • the guy is a wanker

  • hahahahahaha #!!!!

  • He's a wanker!

  • comic brilliance!!!!!!!!

  • im glad i made my youtube name after simon :)

    he's awesome

  • so simple, yet so funny.

  • Absolutely - this is incredibly funny, as are most of the other 'Big Train' episodes posted. Let's get it back again!

  • The timing in this sketch is emaculate. The fact that they haven't just used the same shot of the office workers goes to show how amazingly talented this group of comedians are.

  • What's that at the end??

  • Is Simon Pegg the guy saying "wanker"?

  • yup

  • Ahhh noooo wayyy! The guy is a wanker!

  • no way! i don't believe it! you must be joking! he's a wanker!

    so funny! :D

  • do they use the same shot every time?

  • No they don't. xD

  • nothing beats the bit at the end "wanker!"

  • black adder macbeth joke

  • i love how "wanker" really comes out.

  • the guys a wanker! brilliant timing!

  • hockta hockta hockta

  • fucking best modern english sketch show ever!

  • no way! you must be joking! the guy is a wanker!!

  • there all english

  • FUCKING LOVE IT!

    hahaha

  • no way i cannot believe it that guys a wanker

  • ahahaha

  • ohh no way not this sketch... you must be jokeing i cant belive it the sketch is a wanker!

  • at the beginning pegg says "so i took her back to the apartment and shagged her"

  • lmao can't believe i never noticed that!!

  • Hm i'm not so sure, to me it sounds like "and anyway it was to much trouble in the end and I went to the pub then went to bed"

  • DazB85 - agreed - those kind of nights usually go either way though eh.

  • Yep.

  • AHAHAHA!! I'm gonna go and watch the video again now.

  • Funny how everyone thinks that this is really "british humour" when really the writer and directors are Irish. The creators of Father Ted, wouldn't ya know.

Although I guess the actors do lend a certain British element to it.

  • well the north are.

  • Important distinction. The writers are from the Republic so, no they're not British.

And I'd say it's got a pretty Irish vibe to it, when you compare it to Father Ted and the like.

  • People from Northern Ireland aren't British either. Britain is the British mainland (England, Scotland, Wales) and the British Isles.

  • westwood - get a clue u fuckin twat

  • No...The British live in Britian, that is England, Wales and Scotland. That is why the full title of this country in 'The United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northen Ireland'

Anyway, I agree...even though I am British and from England, Irish Hunour is really funny as you can see in the likes of Father Ted and the Big Train. The even wrote parts of 'I'm Alan Partridge' and I believe also 'Black Books' and the 'IT Crowd'

  • IT crowd, no thanks.

    Father Ted, over-rated

Big train, best sketch show since The fast show.

  • horses & courses -

IT Crowd - very slowly growing on me

    Fr Ted rated, rightly

    Big Train - fantastic (still)

Fast Show - loved it then, not so much now!

  • Hocata?

  • Haha! I love Simon Pegg! His new film How to Lose Friends and Alienate People looks good. Esp love the interview on youtube with Simon and Gillian Anderson, it's so funny! ("what the f*ck are you talking about?!") rofl

  • this absolutely fucking ace.

    i love simon pegg.

  • SIMON PEGG i love him X°°°°°°°D

  • Simon Pegg is really funny man!

  • this is so funny!

  • "Oh, no way!! I don't believe it, the guy's a wanker!"

"Oh, no! Not him, you must be joking!"

At the same time, lol xD. I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!! Thanks for posting!!

  • lol this is so funny i cant stop watching it

  • Haha me too! I thought I was the only one!

  • SAME HERE!! lol. ahahahhahhah XDD

  • "he's such a wanka"

  • i love how "he's a wanker" really comes out

  • HOW VERY CLEVER:-)

  • Can somebody put the Tim Bishop sketch on here (the one where he lives in a Scottish castle).

  • Guy from Greenwing!

  • "Hochta! Hochta! Hochta!"

Mark Heap looks a lot like Mark McKinney from Kids In The Hall - which isn't a bad thing by any stretch! I'm glad I have an all-region player, because this show will probably never be shown in the States.

  • "...Guy's a wanker!"

  • I love this show! I wish I had here in the states!

    But...

If they bring it to the states, they'd probably remake it into another fucking watered down, typical American sitcom!

Kind of like what they're doing with Spaced...

Wait...don't they have the Big Train seasons out on DVD here?

  • Im glad your an American that can admit ur TV shows are acctually pretty shit, however i did love Frasier. Yer they have the Big Train seasons :D

  • i think that's a bit of a generalisation, for example things like Lost, Friends and there's plenty more than that. i do love big train tho

  • I think that The Simpsons and Twin Peaks are the only truly brilliant things to ever come out of American television. Problem is, one will probably never be seen again and the other will probably never be funny again.

  • i think youve repeated yourself there, captain amnesia.

  • I think that The Simpsons and Twin Peaks are the only truly brilliant things to ever come out of American television. Problem is, one will probably never be seen again and the other will probably never be funny again.

  • Well then it seems like you've seen !only! Simpsons and Twin Peaks.

  • I agree that alot of it is pure shite but ya gota love scrubs... well i do at least lol.

  • Actually I do like Scrubs, but I guess I meant that Simpsons and Halloween are the only television shows that are able to transcend a generally lacking medium; I consider the shows the be of more worth than a lot of films. If more programs could be like those two, then you wouldn't have heard Bill Hicks say "Television is like taking black spray paint to your third eye."

  • The Sopranos is fantastic. Six Feet Under is pretty good, too.

And no, AngryPrawn. I do not love scrubs.

  • i love Simon Pegg blah blah blah "A WANKER" LOL

  • i love how "he's a wanker!" comes out of all the indistinct jabberring XD

  • hahahaha 'ah no way he's a wanker!' lol was hilarious

  • Why don't people realize that this among other great comedies are written by Irish writers.

  • father ted, big train and ....er? both written by the same 2 guys, what others?

  • Black Books

  • i fucking love Irish comedy, Dave Allen is one of my favourite.

  • yeah bring it to the states usa humour is non existant

  • i wish they would bring this to the states its hilarious.

  • i love big train!!

    amazon get in (y)

  • golden

  • That was the shizznizz!

  • Wow this is funny xD

  • do americans use the word "wanker"???, or is it just us good ol Brits.

  • well they didnt no until recently they are starting to use the word

    but its rare though

  • just you brits:P

  • they do recently, and it just dont sound right

  • Well not JUST the brits... we use it a lot back in Australia too... its always good fun explaining what it means to foreigners

  • what does hocda mean?

  • Who knows?

  • hookata hookata hookata
