Crowdsourcing the framework and the main components for a bill and handing off the result to law makers, preferably with some tech experts (social networking, cyber security, and network infrastructure) present during the process, seems like a good idea.
@jd007200 Sadly to say not only are lobbyist in Washington, they're in all States. I just found out there's 1,000 registered lobbyists in my state of California, It's really disturbing. You're right lobbyist are the scum of this country. I can assure you nothing is getting done positively in this country because of lobbyists. Why is this going on in our country? Where the hell are the responsible people with dignity in congress that will simply say NO!
Sadly, Our political system is so badly bought off that democracy is almost dead in America. I mean look at the corrupt tools we have to choose from: Obumer, Mittens and Newter. (Gag!!) Super PACS, Citizens United, Corporation are People...
The fascist oligarchs got us right where they wants us. I think the only choice for young people wanting a decent job with a actual safety net with secure benefits is to learn a foreign language and leave the states for greener pastures.
It should be illegal to gather information on you for marketing purposes. They can ASK you to donate that information but if found guilty of gathering it on their own they should have to pay a steep penalty. Worse still, companies like Google are gathering false information on you and that's just stupid. Apparently, though I have never watched a single video on the subject, I like Laundry and Gardening. In reality I like news, video games, and technology. WTF?! And they are way off on my age.
There should be a passphrase that you use to verify your own identity. That way when you are impersonated and sign a legal contract online, simply by clicking on a button, that will double as your actual signature. I think saying that "by continuing you are agreeing to follow the terms and conditions" is BS. If you don't read the shit ur still signing a contract.Example: If I took one of my songs and put it up on newgrounds I'm granting them an irrevocable license to use my music. F that.I read.
No. You need to review your privacy policy. on that screen it will give you an age, gender, and an interests section. You can edit your age and gender but you can't edit your interests. If you are a male 18-24 who likes sports, video games, and action movies google will more than likely think you are a girl under 18 who likes knitting, ponies, and teen movies.
They are merging all google owned sites into one account that they keep track of. I.e. Youtube, Gmail, Google searches,etc...
