I'm pretty sure he was looking at that girl as a snack. I wouldn't even stand in front of that glass if he was staring me down like that. This should not be looked upon as cute, but as a reminder that animals are still wild no matter how long they have been in captivity. I wish zoos didn't exist and we didn't have to see them like that, but it is what it is. People need to show more respect and not antagonize or let their kids annoy the animals. I'm sure they are annoyed enough as it is.

@mommacrystalhewett i agree but same with wolves there put there for conservation and sometimes study and knowledge (if u've ever been to a zoo and looked at the plaquered u'd understand) also it's rare to see one in the wild when u live halfway across the world and can't afford a 450 bucks airplane ticket but kids should be in check at zoos tho and not allowed to run around sometimes it gets VERY crowded in zoos and can be very dangeroous if a child falls into a habitat that's of the wrong kind

I read a misleading yahoo article that said that little girl stood her ground. Yeah, she wasn't even aware that the lion was being aggressive and not fuzzy and cute. Which brings me to this observation. If you pamper your kids and shelter them even from emotions as such, how can they make ideal decisions in life?
