Did you build the cell EXACTLY as smack's explains to do? Or did you just buy their kit? Im curious because Im building one but was considering a smaller gap between the plates. He called for 7/32" thick jam nuts but I was thinking of going with 1/4" thick instead to reduce the gap and increase the voltage on the neutral plates. Just a thought!

lol yeah what better to do while watching the Olympics.
i designed it just like smack's pdf says with the additional features like the extra plates on the end and shrink tubing.

i don't think this is a linear correlation (amps v. lpm), more like an exponential function, so you might actually expect more than 1.1 lpm at 20A.

It gives 500ml*60"/(120"*5A*15V)=3.3 mmW. U should aim for at least 5mmW or more. Great work, good luck.

The plates are stainless steel wall plates from lowes. The temperature of the water is 70F (room temp).
