@SaviourV Oh, I must have misunderstood what you said. I actually link to another video of mine that uses that trick at the end of this one (annotation link). That's what I meant by performing a shinespark from the left side of the water room through to the green door by the Wrecked Ship.
@MetroidGamer12 Of course, it's not possible to charge a Spark in the water room / Wrecked Ship Exterior, blast a Super Missile through before Sparking into the Wrecked Ship itself, correct?
Is it either possible to fire off a missile in the room before (to open the route to the Wrecked Ship exterior, or a Super Missile before Sparking into the Wrecked Ship interior? Seems like you could do that, right?
@SaviourV If I'm understanding what you're saying correctly, then no. It's possible to perform a single shinespark from the left side of the first water room to the green entrance door of the Wrecked Ship, but it's tricky for the same reason what you're describing is impossible. Very shortly after a super missile leaves the screen, it is forgotten by the game. If you fire one too early trying to do the single shinespark method, then the super missile disappears and doesn't open the door.
@MetroidGamer12 How about this: Charging up a Spark just before entering the water room, then a missile before Sparking through? Would that work? I'm not sure, but I think I saw something like that once.
@druha10304 why would he want? The game wrecks so many basic concepts.
Exploring? Nope. Sequence Breaking? Nope. Shine Sparking? Sorry, we made it a long jump, plus to charge you have to run in a perfectly straight line which impossible with the amount of crap we laid around, and if you intterupt it for a second you lose shine spark too. Super Missiles? Charge Combo because we don't have enough buttons because sideways wiimotes are superior. Power Bombs?lolCharge. and don't get started on Ridley
i cant do it no matter what! how can i get through that room without shinesparking please help me!!! if you could upload a video anyone i will greatly appreciate it please help ive been trying for like 2 hours!!
@tazzi06 The video actually shows a sequence break method, a method of bypassing the intended method of accomplishing a goal that usually skips a significant item or event in the process. In this case, the shinespark was used to bypass getting the Grapple Beam, which is an electric beam that connects yourself to certain blocks, like those above the missile pack in the video. Watch episode #8 of my Let's Play from about 9:20 to the end and pretty much all of #9 to see how to go about getting it.
Yes, that's true, but this is just a depiction of one way to get to the Wrecked Ship without the Grapple Beam. The other single-shinespark method is linked to at the end of the video.
okay so iv seen this multiple times, and have read almost everything ppl say about it, but i can never jump while flashing yellow without using the shine spark so i can get over that ledge in the beginning, please help
What you should know is that jumping while moving left or right makes you perform a somersault. What you may not know is that somersaults prevent you from triggering a shinespark. So, all you have to do is run and jump clear past that first ledge and go from there.
To perform a shinespark, all you need to do is running until you begin speed boosting (glowing blue, as I'm sure you know). While still running, duck. If done correctly, you'll be flashing yellow. From here, there's actually a few directions to go to and a few ways to shinespark. The one seen is, of course, a horizontal one from the ground. This is performed by tapping your jump button and them immediately follow it with a tap left or right.
Actually, it is possible, apparently. Difficult, I suppose, though:

You dont need to shinespark twice.
You can turn off high jump and jump between the platforms

Why does the Shinespark take freakin energy to use? That's gonna make the game so much harder when I play it D:
SamusvsChief 3 years ago
Probably because she's accelerating at mach speed. That's a lot of g-force to endure.
