We heard them in a wonderful venue in.. yes, Huntsville, AL. Seriously, Merricmack Hall - one of the very best. Fantastic, magical event. She is ... unique, subtle, and wildly original. Their music was complex and brilliant, and so very fresh. And, of course, it was one of her wonderful compositions..and that voice. And that... banjo. A treasure.

I love this group. "Abigail WAshburn and the Sparrow Quartet" is a little masterpiece, the whole CD just seems to flow like a classical suite. Too bad they've stopped playing together for now. I really hope they get back together some day and give us some more of their magic.
