GREAT VID!!! had been looking for nice basic stuff like and gave... thought I'd try again today and there you are! Can't believe it's been over a year. Anyway, it'd be nice to have the staff instead of or in conjunction with the rhythm bit. It's still awfully confusing with all the transposing and whatnot.

I already play tenors(quads)for my junior high band, and am trying to learn trumpet so that I can switch from drums to trumpet. I can read the music and know most fingerings, and thanks to you i'm getting the playing part as well!Hooray!!!

first of all, i think youre a great teacher and a very good trumpet player. here comes my question: i play a french horn (you know, a sort of trumpet, accpet for the fact that its horn is "ending" in another way,, dont know if this is the actuall term for it), and im having a hard time getting a clean proper tone out of it, do you have some tips?

Ok, I know I'm only like 13.. but when I started trumpet last year the book my teacher gave us called Essential Elements made us play the 5th note of the scale as our first note. I could not get it so I decided to start from C, then go to D, then E, then F, then G. I did that a kazillion times everyday for about a week and was the only trumpet in my class to get the right note. And a year and a half later my new teacher says I have a very mature sound and I can hit two ocataves higher now.

tell you the truth...... a french horn is not a trumpet its a brass instrument....
