noel said in an interview that everything he wrote, never had an actual meaning. that he never sat down and thought about what to write. he said that it all came to him... so everyone basically takes their own meanings from songs he wrote. witch is what i think made oasis famous.

They'll never even come close to being the legends that Beatles and The Rolling Stones are. I think people from England tend to believe that Oasis is huge all over the world. They aren't. They were somewhat popular when they first broke in the 90s. Now it'd be rare to find someone in America that listens to them. Their popularity is more of an English thing.

However Oasis are in the Guiness book of world records as the most success Band from 1995-2005. Not the most successful British band...the most successful band period.

Their last album was #5 in the American charts. Which is great considering I never hear them on the radio. They sell out MSG and the Hollywood Bowl. They are truly international.
