Good to know cause I have a Roland set with mesh head on snare... I noticed random rim hits too, but the teaching methods i'm using suggest to just tilt it slightly and random rimshots are good if not excessive (Tommy Igoe)... just wanted to share ideas with you. Thanks for replying

Very nice! Megadeth has always had a good rhythmic section and songwriting.

Do you feel comfortable playing with snare so tilted? I was always suggested to keep it more horizontal, in order not to smash the head with the topmost tip of sticks...

claudiokun2007, Since I sit so low on the throne, I was finding that I constantly hit the rim of the snare when it's more or less horizontal. I've grown used to the tilt. Besides, the mesh drum heads are pretty resilient.

no because there is no latency and no screen to follow :) and the pad are much more quiet.... so its actually like playing a real drum.
