bigger screen with higher resiolution, it's slimmer, removable back piece and micro usb port, weather ui and other ui features that iphone does not have. And in my opinion it also looks better

I went up and down the Bournemouth high street yesterday looking for a retailer with this phone in stock , in one shop i was told that they stopped making them. ( he was wrong)

Anyways i ended up going on Google and searching for a contract on there, and i came across this website which was selling 18 month contract at 35 pounds a month with 3 months free insurance with free handset , Best bit was that the phone was in stock !!

Yes dude I agree, this is a point that I really love about the htc hd2, you said it, it's smooth as an Iphone, which is something cool. Also, bigger screen + larger CPU and ram + better camera with flash and much more features.

this is the first htc phone that has a nice design surrounding the screen... actually it makes the iphone look ugly in a side to side comparison. Would make a good travel phone, with a screen that big - can do serious web browsing and can leave the laptop at home

I agree, not having Android may be the only thing that will keep me from having this phone. Certain apps such as Sports Tap, Shazam and a few others make Android very important. Having said that I absolutely love the look that WM 6.5 offers, but Androids apps are supreme.

Im going to end up getting an iPhone 3gs but I love this phone aswell. I cannot get it because its not coming to Rogers in Canada until like 2011 or 4th quarter of 2010. This phone owns the iPhone 3gs in every way but iPhone 3gs kills it when it comes to 3rd party applications.

android is incredibly slow compared to iphone os... personally windows mobile looks pretty responsive and amazingly brilliant but with whats happening to the sk's... i recommend noone buy this if your data is sent to a cloud... BACKUP PEOPLE!

lol well just wait for tmobile to realease it in a couple of months but the reason it does come with a stylus is becasue it has a capacitive touch, similar to the one of the infamous iphone. lol so it only records input through your fingertips, nothing else

It would probably work if you had an all metal stylus. For example you can purchase skiing gloves with silver mesh in the fingertips so you can use your iPhone while skiing without taking your gloves off.

I think people make capacitive screen versions of stylus pens. I don't know why you would want them for a capacitive screen, but if you insist, I know companies are making a stylus that works with these. So all is not lost!

Apple bought coverflow from an independent developer, however like most Apple "inventions" it's another idea taken from Xerox in the mid 90's, which is why there are so many similar concepts out there.

it's very difficult to decide! in my oppinon BOTH are great phones! the big screen @ HD2 is not so important. 3,7" @ omnia is also OK. But which phone is really better to handle in standart use like doing phone calls, email, sms, viewing piy, listening to music etc ...

My current "phone" is a straight gadget that can let me edit websites and upload(html-ftp), act as a wifi hotspot for my netbook, become an internet radio device blasting my car's sub violently via bluetooth, and can let me watch my FiosTV by way of slingbox.

HD2 is easier to use because of its capacitive touchscreen with multitouch and HTC's Software is better IMO.

Omnia II has longer battery life, smaller screen with high contrast and smaller overall size.

Both are much better than the iPhone ;)

The Touch HD has a larger screen (4.3" vs. 3.7"), same amound of pixels and far inferior image quality (colors aren't nearly as saturated) though. Not that the screen's bad, the Samsung's is just really awesome.

The HD is more powerful, a 1 GHz processor on the HD vs. 800 MHz on the Omnia and 448 vs. 256 MB RAM.

The cameras are similiar, the HTC's interface is generally considered better than the Omnia's, the Omnia is more compact.

It's up to preference, really.
