I was a Brian DePalma fan from the late seventies. He is liken to Alfred Hitchcock. Brian DePalma was inspired by Hitchcock since he was a young man getting started in this business. DePalma has directed and Written many of the best thrillers of the 1980s. I was 11 years old when I discovered his work and became inspired writting graphic thriller. There is no other like DePalma. He is a cinematic storytelling genius of modern film since Kurbrick.
de palma mainly does hitchcok style murder thrillers, but here and there he mixes it up and makes good gangster flicks as well (carlito's way, untouchables, scarface). he made a good war film too in casualties of war.

@neoldd1 He's made many more that top this one. The Untouchables, Casualities of War, Dressed to Kill, Scarface w/ Oliver Stone, Carlito's Way...DePalma was on fire for 15 years or more straight during this period. He's very intelligent & truly understands the art of film&story telling very well. Very few today in this era has a grasp on this kind of talent.
Love this film! I like Brian De palma's films when he was in his "hitchcock phase". He was criticised but who cares what the critics say he made some excellent movies. I myself think that his thrillers are NOT copies of hitchcock's films as many think!!!

I remember liking this movie when I was 14'ish. But, now, I can say that the directing and acting was really lame.

I've never been disappointed by a DePalma film, end of story. The guy is a nut in the best way.
