If someone were to send in an engine, could it be possible to machine an adapter to make an electric kit for other cars?
I'm sure it would be easy enough to rig up a tachometer by machining a hole for a magnet and using an electronic tachometer. Though an electric motor has a linear torque curve, unlike the torque curve of an engine which climbs up to a certain RPM point and then drops off.
so it uses the clutch like a regular bug?.....and the Gas pedal is a rheostat?so it just let off the pedal and clutch it and shift to the next gear.......wow but how do you know when to shift?,engines tell you.....does the rpm of the elect. motor tell you also?......really curious.
In my country that's illegal , you could spent long time and much money to the bureaucracy to test and record that in the public registry, but that's will be not possible...sorry I live in Italy, lovely country but political like shit... here is a mixture of fascists and communists and call it democracy! @randytooth Never heard of anyone using one in a car that failed yet. Perhaps you could tell us in what official capacity you make those claims. Do you work for a company repairing them - or is it just a case of "a friend told me" without you knowing what you are talking about!
no a123 packs are a lower voltage for instance my lipo rc battery puts out 7.4volts as a a123life batery puts out 6.6 volts and they are heavyer than lipo lion

If I can raise the money, the first thing I am going to do is purchase one of these kits, minus the batteries.
I would rather purchase and encase my own Li-Ion batteries for faster and longer range performance. But this requires much more research.
