why does everyone says that cannabis is a gateway drug to harder drugs? if you smoke weed, your pain barrier is lower. but tell me: how many people drank alcohol before smoking weed or consumed other drugs? what is the real gateway drug? beer? whine?
this is a really bad video,you say marijuana is a gateway drug,when it has been proven it is not.and i have never heard of someone dieing the first time they have taken ecstasy.and also when you were showing the pictures of the people and how much they changed after they have taken drugs,that was crystal meth,your makin it seem like something like marijuana could do that.this is a very misleading video,shame on whoever made it.
@luvmyjayden are you serious? i think its a myth which is told to children to warn them or scare them off. a scientist said, that even more people died on riding accidents (with a horse) than on taking XTC (or the active substance MDMA). he just lost is job.

Real good video!! I started off with weed at the age of 13 and it lead to harder drugs I was addicted heroin for 12 years I am now clean for 18 months and going strong!!
@bigdaddyray21 Wow! Keep it up! My friend just lost her legs and fingers as a result of a heroin overdose. She is only 26 years old. Ive seen so many of my friends lose everything because of drugs and alcohol...many which include losing their lives. Keep it up...its so worth it:) And heroin is a tough one to kick

I like how you show the before/after pictures and say it is caused by drugs, leading viewers to assume all drugs cause that dramatic transformation. People who didn't know that it is meth that does this, NOT marijuana might mistakenly think all drugs do it. I'm a community support worker, and marijuana is not a gateway drug. The government wants you to think it is. My grandma used marijuana for cancer pain...she's 85, is she susceptible to become "at risk" or join a negative peer cluster?
@Lanzig I find it interesting that you clung onto the 5 seconds this video discussed marijuana and did not notice the benefits of this video such as how it shows the harmful effects of other types of drugs and alcohol. For the most part, the statistics and other information presented in this video are very specific to each individual drug.
@Lanzig And in regards to your 85 year old grandmother becoming "at risk" for harder drugs, read the description of the video which clearly states that this video highlights the dangers and consequences of using drug and alcohol at a YOUNG AGE. In fact, you really do not have to read the description; actually watching and paying attention to the video should show you that this video is not directed towards senior citizens who are in need of medical marijuana.
@Lanzig Obviously you are a medical marijuana advocate, as am I. The recreational use of marijuana and the medical use of marijuana are in two separate categories. I absolutely believe in the medical benefits marijuana has on sick individuals. My mind is not clouded by government input and I do not believe everything they say simply because they say so.
@Lanzig- Now, do I believe that marijuana makes someone crave cocaine and heroin? No! However, I do believe that marijuana is known as being a harmless drug with minimal side effects, thereby, making it one of the first drugs that adolescents and teens choose to use. I think that trying this drug at a young age makes them more open to the idea of trying harder drugs
