As far as I have noticed, only Charice has a good quality of voice in terms of live singing. Most of the hollywood singers when they sing live it does not sound good, it's not pleasing to the ears. I guess it's because their voices are just edited and made good using the computers, using the power of technology. Hahaha! Have noticed that one also?:-D
Charice wowed us with her amazing range singing ballad songs. I can understand why they are giving her pop and R&B songs to record since she's still very young and the young ones are the biggest chunk of listeners out there. I will appreciate though if they will give her more original ballads to record to cater middle aged fans like myself. Go Charice!

As she matures (in age), they will produce more power ballad songs for her as those songs will even better demonstrate the extraordinary power, range, and control of her voice. I came to this conclusion by gathering bits and pieces of the puzzle from myriads of discusions, tv blogs, interviews of Charice, David and others. Hope I'm not mistaken.

Though Charice is still in her teens, the teeny bopper songs do not use her extraordinary powerful voice and range. I agree with David Foster not to include these songs in her intl album. The challenge would be how to market her: the teen generation or the mature generation. She already captured the mature ones with songs from Celine, Whitney, Beyonce. Although I like Fingerprint, I think it will be a disaster to move her down from mature music to teeny bopper music.

I love it that Charice's songs are also geared for the younger market from schoolage to adolescent age because they are those who will mostly buy anything about their idol if their wallet allows. The teenagers, especially, they wanted to look, dress and sound cool just ike their idol. Charice is a great model for teenagers who want to soar up high to achieve their dreams.

Funny thing is.. I do like Bleeding Love, but I started carying for that song less, once I started playing Mariah's Vision of Love. Mainly its because of the shift in vocal dynamics.
Charice is seriously one of the best singers of the new generation. I know what you mean by tracks that will sell to the younger generation. We'll see though.

Actually I know when I hear Charice's voice as I would if it was Mariah Carey and Whitney (even at her sad-ass can't-sing-state). People say Leona Lewis is the best new singer of this generation. I say wrong..it's Charice. Leona is good, but she's nothing original. Her managers try to hard making her into a Mariah-clone that Leona comes of as unauthentic. Charice... she may mostly sing covers, but that woman is nothing near ordinary. She extrodinary!

No there isn't, but they can still come up with better tracks that don't seem pop farmed.
Jordan Sparks atleast has songs that demand vocal acrobatics. They need to make more songs for Charice that does the same. It's like Mariah Carey. Even at her weakest, her songs are still hard to even sing. Harder than Whtiney tracks. Charice is on a high level for stuff like that. Not the songs means for those that can't sing, period.

Neosoul, Honestly, I'm also hoping that Charice's album would include lung-busting songs to exhibit her out-of-this-world vocal acrobatics.
In one of her tweets, Charice said that she had a hard time recording Diane Warren's composition. For me, that's quite unusual because I've never seen/heard Charice complain (not sure if this is the appropriate term) like this before. A difficult song is always like a piece of cake for her. Diane's song must really be something.
