  • @andocrates, No it just reflects the most marketable person now a days. Ushers just another sell out artist with no substens, trying to tell everyone whats cool and whats not! There ten a penny.

  • Back to basics, anyone?

  • i have to say the same what happen to the real tune's

  • Ca change de l'éternelle création de Procol Harum

C'était en 1967... une époque bénie...

  • Have to agree, one of my favorite songs. From this to rap? I never though rap would last this long. Please we need to go back to music!

  • belly rubbin at its best

  • VINTAGE CHUNE!!!

  • am loving this

  • From Harum to Harlem - we all be one.

  • i love the picture... no one would get away with that pose today

  • This song is said to be about a woman and man and thief night and conversation leading up to the act of love. Originally sung by procol harum.

  • @Rdeleon312 hahaha no its not...its about Overdosing...

  • beautiful song.... but does anybody know the meaning of it?

  • This is music man. Tanks

  • Hard to believe that black music went form this to gangster rap

  • @MrPaul263 lord have mercy you just typed a mouthful

  • @MrPaul263 right you are!! very sad...omg listen to that bass line. Now this is Awesome stuff!!

  • @MrPaul263 hard to believe white music went from the righteous brothers to justin bieber

  • @MrPaul263 Usher is as talented as any artist in American musical history, black or white.

Black music has always reflected black culture - in fact all popular music MUST reflect culture to survive. Bach gave way to Mozart, then Beethoven, Samuel Barber etc. If gangsta rap is what 'stuck' then it must be because it reflects blacks urban lifestyle's.

  • Prefer the Procul Harem version, but this is cool :D, nice and relaxed ^^

  • since i was a little kid, my dad listened and sang these songs in a band and glad he did, i grew up knowing the difference between real music and crap made by computers.....and this song just makes me wanna cry remembering the times my dad takes me with him to the band practice and listen to this song. Now i just wish i could start a band just to play these awesome songs :(

  • A GREAT SONG!!!

  • i got on a cruise ship one time and turned a whiter shade of pale!!!! lol.... NEVER again

  • Nice to hear that Sledge likes karaoke.

  • ha, when he was first getting started my grandfathers best friend had a chance to play drums for him over in Shefield alabama about 30 min. from my house but refused because he didn't want to play for a nigger, man he must regret that now!

  • thanks this is awesome in HQ!!! <3

  • Why is Percy raping a Procol Harum song ?

  • @deamondeathstone1 faggot

  • @tnb35 Wow, what a intelligent reaction. This version sucks in my opinion, i can't help it if you disagree.

  • @deamondeathstone1

the only reason this version suck

is because the original song is bad

  • @tnb35 See isn't that a better way to react than to call someone names? Of course you're wrong, but you're wrong in a much more friendly way. :-)

  • @deamondeathstone1 just wanted to try it once and see the reaction i get

  • @deamondeathstone1 I think it's revenge for Tom Jones.

  • LOL why do people keep complaining about todays music? is it because its cool or somehting. sure, alot of mainstreim music blows. but if you look for good music, you'll find it. jaheim, anthony hamilton, duffy, adele, mgmt, MIA, coldplay, the killers, the roots and many more mainstriem artists are making music right. buck up, open your eyes and stop being so pesimistic. if you're not part of the soulution, you're part of the problem.

  • @RegisPhilbinFan You're right Regis, good music is still out there, you just have to find it.

  • I saw Percy sing this live at the Apollo he's feelin free to jive so he threw in here and there :

"Mercy", "Now wait a minute" "that's right" "Downright nasty"

  • O love this song so much... this rendition is also great!

  • that the song sonji augusta ga

  • Today's era of music will go down in music history as the most forgettable in the history of music. We need to get back to writing music like this.

  • MMMMM IN MY EYES HE IS THE KING!!!

  • DA SONG YAH HAAAAAAAAARD! LORD HAVE MERCY PERCY!!!!

  • THIS GUY IS A LEGEND

  • One question .............what the fuck happend to music.......music now is full of B.S

  • @OneSicFuk

SATAN. Satan is what happened to music. Just like every and anything else that has turned to shit throughout the years. When Satan gets involved in anything, it starts slowly descending into hell. Look at the values and morals of people today, especially young people. The girls are too easy; the guys are violent and totally disrepectful of everything. SATAN has em all.

  • @Ladyday55 by 'satan' you mean money and capitalist ideals, no? that seems to be the main reason "artists" make "music" anymore. while songs of old were meant to inspire and warm the heart, now are to line pockets and rent indoor pools and bowling alleys in bathrooms and diamonds on tire rims and the list goes on. it sounds terroristic if we're to replace 'satan' with 'america', but it's ultimately what happened.

  • @Ladyday55 do the world a favor & print that on a t-shirt> post it! tell it yell it! very well put!

  • @OneSicFuk

You are not alone in your observation. Millions probably agree. My guess is that it follows "Diffusion of Innovation" theory; where basically it follows an S-shaped curve -- a diffusion curve shaped somewhat like an elongated S on its side. Music has plateaued, if not fallen off the chart, in general (there are exceptions). If diffusion theory is correct, it will improve, but I'm not sure if we'll live long enough since it isn't happening very fast.

  • @OneSicFuk i dont fuckin know,man i a metal head 100%.but when it come to this he's the man

  • Love you Percy

  • OK, it's official, maybe. heard a bunch of covers for this song but maybe it's a song that just should not be covered. and this one is OK.

  • Cool!!!!
