  • All we need is money and this issue will be resloved. Nigeria had similar problem years ago and brought in the chinese who are currently extracting send from the ocean bed to replaced the sand that was carry away some 100yrs ago by the sea. The same can be done for us but will cost tens of millions. When money starts to flow in, we will not focus only on Grand Bassa but all of our nine coastal counties so that our beaches can be expanded.

  • why did they talk over them I can understand they're english

  • The sea is not rising. The sand is not being replaced as the sea carries it away, because the breakwater of the Buchanan port blocks it (at 0:43). Look at the Google Satellite map for Buchanan, Liberia and you'll see there is a nice sandy beach to the east of the breakwater, but no sand beach on the western end, where people built too close to the shore. Further east there is more sandy beach.

  • Hmmm, don't built so close to the ocean. Simple solution.

  • @Clichyabarbes22 They didn't build close to the ocean. It's because of the rise in water level that the ocean has come so close.
