@Dachande23 No it didn't really do much I was saving up for a down-pipe and an exhaust cutout so I can have the performance only when I needed it but still have a decent tone to it. But I got rid of the car and now have a GTO and Im getting the build done.
@skatermonkey94 for 150 you could get a pretty decent setup like I have depending on the exhaust shop mine cost so much because I wanted the MagnaFlow tip.
did you cut out the resonator and weld a straight pipe in and then weld in the magnaflow rear muffler? or did you put in a 2 magnaflow mufflers (1 where the resonator is, and one where the rear muffler is?)
and do you happen to have part numbers? :) thanks!
This Video is actually with the resonator on. my other Video has it without it.
But yes resonator is cut out its piped about a foot to a MagnaFlow "pack" its what the Mechanic called it, but is a muffler. then is just pipe all the way back. I'll try to find the parts numbers.
It was the shops idea. Well its pretty much straight piped from the down pipe. the guy wanted to try it with 2.25 because the possibility of loosing to much back pressure through a 3inch piping for that size of the turbo.

Aw, don't tell me the stock exhaust pipe diameter was 2". If that be the case ,your 2.25" setup literally did nothing for performance... :(

Good choice instead of the cobalt, bet you love the luxurious interior and comfy seats!
mfex187 3 years ago
Oh definitely the cobalt was cheap and reliable though. but I dont think I could ever go back to it.
ricepicker84015 3 years ago
Why 2.25? Why didnt you go with 2.5 or 3'? Because there are 2 exhaust lines?

2.25" for a 300hp turbo engine? That seems REALLY small. My fathers stage2 LGT REQUIRES a 3" exhaust, and it's only 305hp/345tq.
