Very tight vocals! The genius thing about Abby Road side 2 is it blows my mind that they wrote it into being and to come up with that brilliant piece of music is a modern masterwork!! Really think about the different movements, the key and timing changes, the unreal vocal harmonies, it's the best I've ever heard. Thank you The Beatles for the brilliance that was inside you!
When I first heard the Medley in its entirety...I choked up and cried. There's nothing that I can add here that hasn't already been said other than I wholeheartedly agree with all of the superlatives and my tears give you my personal interpretation of the set. OK, Superb..
.BTW, just saw them last night at the Orpheum Theater in LA playing the White Album(s) in their entirety and it was better than listening to the Album on a stereo...the 'Presence' gave such life to the music esp. Helter Skelter, Revolution 9, Yer Blues...and of course My Guitar with some real 'George' thrown in for good measure.
Fab Faux do create a piece of music The Beatles felt couldnt be done live....Sit back and emjoy, I Play drums and beleive me, The solo isnt easy to play exact, This drummer pulls it off A+..Will, Jimmy from Conan, all the other musicians are playing from the heart...Never heard a tribute band come close. They dont worry about costumes etc, But have the right gear, Ludwigs, Fenders, Rickenbacher to create the sound Iike it, cant see any reason to diss,.. Paul was looking down his nose at Will
@1234captron You're a drummer, so you'll appreciate this comment. I sent this to a friend of mine--classical music buff. He claimed that he liked it (Mozart it is not) but allowed as how the drummer was "pretty good". I wrote back and said, "pretty good? He's awesome----what goes that tell you about Ringo?"
In "The Love We Make" Will Lee tells Paul in his dressing room he plays in a "tribute band" called The Fab Faux and that they do all the later, "hard stuff". Paul acted like he hadn't heard of them and went like "Oh yeah?"
Holee Schizz-balls!...Well, if you're a musician, then I don't need to point out to you how truly amazing this group is. Beatle songs as it is are not entirely easy to reproduce, and the Beatles had the benefit of George Martin and countless takes. These fellows whip it out in two or three. Albeit, with some help from modern technology. Nevertheless, they still have to play it and play it they do, extremely well, as you can easily hear. Checkout all of their You Tube uploads. Truly amazing!
I'm wondering if George Martin has seen or heard these fellows yet. I'm certain that if he has, then he must have been impressed. And Paul or Ringo...they'd be proud as to how well these fine musicians are carrying the songs of the Beatles, well and into the future. Timeless music and recreated almost exactly as the originals. I'm truly stunned! So F-ing good!
I'm sitting here watching this, with a stupid grin on my face....can't believe this guys sound sooo good, I'd like to go see them in concert. Absolutely brilliant!!!
Wow! These guys are amazing! As a Beatle fan, these guys are spot on..great musicianship, great voices..great job all the way around...I even got got goosebumps when the strings came in during the beginning of the medley...Awesome
Holy cow, this is incredible. Like others I have chills -- of course, the music's genius by itself, but your reproducing this live is truly an astonishing accomplishment and shows amazing skills and artistry. Thank you and congratulations!
Music has been a big part of my life, and growing up with the Beatles was a dream come true for me. Had it not been for them, I probably wouldn't have learned to play the guitar or sing for that matter. Hail to you Fab Faux!! You guys are awesome!
Think about it- the Beatles were so far ahead of the technology of their time that they couldn't even play this music live. (that also includes Sgt. Peppers, Magical Mystery Tour, etc.). So sad to "imagine" that if John had lived, they may have reunited at some point in the 80's or early 90's, when we could have heard them performing this live. Thanks, Fab Faux for giving us a glimpse of what this great music sounds like played live with today's technology (multi-track mixers, etc.)
To all the people who find fault with this performance: I am having trouble understanding what you are referring to. Would you please upload a video of YOU performing the sections that you think the Fab Faux is doing wrong. This would be most helpful. Thanks!
What can I say... I've loved the Beatles forever. You guys are totally fantastic.... the best I've ever heard.... wow~~~~ unbelievable..... just incredible....
I just smoked a big fat doobie and then listened to all 3 medleys and can i just say thank you Fab Faux for a fucking great 20 minutes. I think Abbey Rd and in particular from You Never Give Me Your Money right through to Her majesty is the greatest stretch of music ever made, ever in the history of the universe!
Oh my goodness. The level of musicianship coupled with such stellar respect for the music has brought tears to my eyes. I am just so thrilled to be alive to experience this. Thank-you Fab Faux !!
4:51 As the camera pans right you can catch the guy wiping the tear from his eye...Totally understood. Will again...what can I say, Fab Baby Fab.
