the only way hoffman will ever get as much credit as rivera is if hoffman wins a ring(or 2 or 3) n gets a mvp award in a playoff series or better yet world series like rivera. n jus cus he has better save percentages doesnt mean squat, bonds has more hr's than babe ruth, but do u think that bonds comes even close to babe ruth.

rivera is still the best closer ever, no one comes close to touching his dominance. u cant take anything away from hoffman, but having better numbers or the most career saves isnt the deciding factor. mo is the best closer ever, end of story

There is no pitcher in history with a better career saves percentage than Trevor Hoffman. And just last week, he became the all-time saves leader. You can speak opinions and try to justify other closers to be better than Hoffman, but their statistics can't top him.
