  • Since this one is discontinued is Parkzone going to make another one? I was hoping to get one.

  • lol "Flock of Trojans"

  • hi would this be a good choice of aircraft to buy ... i have flown al sorts of aircraft such as the mx2 , cougar 2000, renegade . please reply before the new year thanks :)

  • @giles503 You should be fine, just take it easy for the first few flights until you get comfortable.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom thank you for your help . :)

  • @HorizonRCdotCom one more question is it the flying thats hard or is it the landings ?

  • You guys should encourage Parkzone to make an ultra micro Piper Cherokee. That would be amazing!

  • Hi guys. I was thinking of purchasing the t28 micro before a larger plane to get even more practice with ailerons. I was then going to buy the spectrum dx5e transmitter, but saw that it had no model memory. In the future I plan on having about 2-3 planes, so should I buy the dx6i instead. I was leaning towards the dx5e because of the money, and because your videos have demonstrated how easy it is to bind to from one plane to the next. Please give me your opinion. Thanks.

  • Hi Guys. I have recently mastered the hobbyzone supercub and I'm looking for second plane. I have some experience with ailerons on a flight simulater, and have narrowed my choices to the t-28 trojan or the f4u corsair. I want to get a plane which is forgiving but is still fast and can do alot of tricks. I'm hoping after buying this next plane, I wont have to buy a new plane for a long time. So, which of the 2 planes would you recommend?

  • @spaceacestarchild13 I would go with the T-28 first, then the Corsair. The Trojan will feel similar to the Super Cub yet be more capable and nimble.

  • @HorizonRCdotCom thank you for the advice.

  • I have one and i know you can put a 950kv motor in it but i need to know what propeller would be compatible.

  • hi dude thanks for answering my previous question but

ive got another one that ill be glad if you could answer it

what plane should i buy after a first plane tlike the cub because i have a similar

one and a simulator and im wondering where and how to advance thanks in advance:)

  • @MrColdShoot The ParkZone T-28 is an excellent choice for a second plane. It's forgiving to fly but still very capable in the air.

  • hey guys if you get the chance tell Jim we really miss him, hope he is really enjoying his retirement

  • @WarbirdFan66 We don't see Jim frequently but he's very active on Facebook if you'd like to pass the message along yourself :)

  • is this good for a beginner after simulator?

  • @MrColdShoot No, this is more of a 2nd or 3rd plane. For a first plane I'd recommend the HobbyZone Super Cub LP.

  • @MrColdShoot I have to say that the horizon-guys are right, this is not a very good beginner plane, it is relativly easy to fly but for a beginner i would recommend a different plane, a Piper Cup sounds like a good idea, and if it has to be a warbird, try the trojan or the wildcat, much easier to fly then the 109, have fun at the field

  • Was thinking the same thing

  • Was thinking the same thing, is it?.

  • has the FW 190 been discontinued ?

  • @emforty2 Yes the Focke Wulf has been discontinued.

  • the actually flying characteristic of the real bf109 did have take off and landing problems ,,,, this plane has exactly the same characteristics ,, its because of the landing gear configuration just like modle has excellent work guys fantastic plane

  • all talk no flying......must be a dog in the air

  • Rip that Balkenkreuz off the tail it should be a swastika!!!! -Historical correctness before political censorship!!!

  • I want to buy one of this 2 airpanes the T-28D Trojan or the Messerschmitt Bf-109G which one is better. and can you review the apprentice 15e please

  • @ONEbrazo my hobby shop said that the trojan is for people who are looking for the next step from trainers but the ME 109 is faster and tougher to fly

  • I really want a 4channel plANE BUT I DONT KNOW WHICH ONE TO GET. the first one i had ever had that was 4 channel was the ultra micro sukhoi.(not best 4 channel to start with) lol. but i want one hat can fly slow because i dont have a to big place to fly it. I also want one with good alirons but nothing to extreme like spining fast wise. so any way do think this one or the T-28D? Pleas and Thank, Aero2121 5 star video:)

  • can you review the t28d

  • @Aero2121 We have already. However it was not a video review as we do now. Check out the Horizon Hobby Website and you'll see it on there.

  • How do you recomend setting the high/low rate?

  • WINGS ARE VERY WEEK

  • so is the fuse

  • @kedwards95 That's not a problem once the pilot learns how to land.

  • Jim Booker should be paid twice as much!

  • cunningham8r

dont run before you can walk ! Try an elec piper cub before a warbird to save you money.. s

  • i just started on my .46 nitro trainer and i'm looking for a EP model that's sorta a litle more capable. anyone know what would suit me the best?

  • @bottomgunner

They just released the habu. It's not rtf, but if u own another rtf with a 1800 lipo, you should be fine

  • Hey Jim... do you know what king of Amp ratings the stock motor is capeable of handling. I upgraded the ESC to 45 amp as I had a spare one. Wasn't planning on doing motor also until summer. Anyway Threw in a 30C 4S and it came in at about 38 amps WOT (Stock Prop) and close to 600 Watts. I know I am ok on ESC end but just wondering if my motor can handle it and not get too hot. Thanks in advance...

    Brandon

  • I have 1 flight on this plane and like my corsair MUCH BETTER.... hopefully ill like it more in time... it is a lot slower than i expected considering the size of the motor!

  • looks like this will be my new hobby :P lookin forward for great gopro hd videos yay

  • Great looking plane. does parkzone make ducted fan aircraft.

  • There just being PC with the iron cross on the tail.

  • ponganlo en español que no saben que los latinos somos tambien sus cliente

  • Jim, settle down, take a shot of bourbon before you film your videos lol and stop saying Uhm. Nice plane though.

  • Fact:

The Russians hated and feared Hartmann so much that they placed a price tag on his head; they would freak whenever they noticed the tulip-nose pattern on his "Gustav..."

    Rest in peace, Mr. Hartmann!!!

  • let us remember him for his outstanding flying, and not the cause in which he was flying for

  • Erich Hartmann (died in 1996) was the highest German ace ever during WWII, with 352 enemy victories, all during the Easter Front flying against the Russians; all Luftwaffe aircraft carried the tail swastika...

  • can u please review the parkzone t-28 trojan? that would be great. thanks

  • Check out the HorizonHobby website, we have a review up there.

  • im sorry. i didn't think of looking on the web site.

    thanks

  • Yoy can get this RTF !!!!!!

  • My parkzone didn't come with the tail swastika like it should have..I had to pay extra for it ...There was no iron cross on the tail of Hartmans plane, it was a swastika so don't say this plane has his trim sheme

  • I need one!!!! Its about time they built it.

  • Does it fly faster than the parkzone trojan

  • It is a bit faster, and carries speed better, but it's still a relatively scale looking plane not a speed demon.

  • would u say that the trojan is a speed demon, cnt decide what one to get for xmas...any ideas

  • get the t-28

  • I killed my Gunfighter today. Is that a nice next plane or too boring?

  • I'm sure Horizon thought about putting retracts in this plane. Any chance there will be room or structure to install them on this????? that would complete the look. Thats the only thing that would keep me from buying it. Having to look at those wheels hanging down on a high speed low pass across the field!

  • there might be room, but I'd be concerned about compromising the wing structure.

  • Jim Booker is the best model reviewer in the world!

  • nice ! i already have the corsair a this messerschmitt will be my next airplane . thats sure ;) very very nice

  • whats the flight time on that bird?

  • i forgot! is it a complete 4 chanel?

  • Should be between 8-14 minutes depending on how much throttle you use. And yes, it is a complete 4-channel plane.

  • cool!

  • how much is it

  • $179.99 for the PNP, $239.99 for the RTF on the Horizon Hobby Website.

  • This plane looks great. I have the corsair as well and really like it. I think you guys need to make a Japanese Zero. It is the only popular plane that you haven't made yet. Do you know if there are any plans to make a Zero?

  • Lol , the day before you released the info for this plane , i was writing up an email to parkzone. Then later in the week after i got my sukhoi and flew it around i thought how cool it would be if they made warbird micro planes. Then they released info on the p51 ultra micro! lol , all i want is a ultra micro BF109E4 with the yellow front cowl. Thats it and i will be happy. I dont like the fixed landing gear though on this model , i have the spitfire from parkzone and liek to belly land.

  • 343 Sorry to frustrate you, I'll pass on your message. BTW, the gear is easily removed and the model lands easily with out damage if you fly over grass.

  • Same pilot figure... Did you guys at Horizon buy a billion of those little guys and still need to get rid of them? :P

  • He is our favorite pilot. Taking foreign language lessons right now in preparation for his next adventure.

  • I can do Japanese lessons (hint: a Zero would be nice)

  • Are the wings removable?

  • Thats a great question .. yes lets see if we can get an answer.. will the dx5e work for the bind and fly? or do I need to go and buy a dx6

  • The DX5e WILL work, however you get a lot more tunability and added features with the DX6i. If it were me that is what I would go with personally.

  • what about the dx5e can it work as bnf

  • I'm thinking long and hard about getting into RC flying and am wondering which transmitter to get (I'm thinking of a Spekturm DX6i or a Futaba 7C) - leaning toward the DX6i. Also, what is Mode 1 and Mode 2 signifying?

  • Well with the DX6i you can fly any BNF plane right from the box without hassle. Mode 1 and Mode 2 refer to what sticks do what. with Mode I the controls are configured with the rudder and elevator being controlled by the left stick while the right stick controls the throttle and ailerons. With Mode 2 the ailerons and elevator being controlled by the right stick while the left stick controls the rudder and throttle.

  • Im a bit dissapointed in the fact that this plane is not going to be offered in the rtf ready out of the box to fly offering that the corsair is . id like to chose which one i want and have them both available in either bind n fly or plug and play as well as rtf .. it seems they are pushing you to buy one with the radio and the buy another one .. just an honest opinion. the plane seems excellent though

  • I think part of it might be they don't want newbie pilots with no flight experience saying "That ones cool, I'll take one" instead of starting with a trainer. Most people with a DX6 or whatever probably already know how to fly an R/C plane.

  • hey jim do you think i could contact you cause i would love to meet you at the e fest

  • PKZ- Well I plan to be there for sure so just look me up, I'm sure we can all get together and have our own flying session, sounds like fun. Check the Horizon Hobby FaceBook page as we will be talking about it there as we get closer/Jim

  • I am very pleased with this new airplane its cool as! but at the same time im a little sad! :{{ it seems they thought of the "ready for flaps" feature a bit late, it was obvious that people would put flaps on the corsair because the real one had heaps of them and looks great. I hope one day they bring out a new optional wing with the same features as the bf109's wing but i know it wont happen lol! :{{

  • Good work again by Parkzone. Now bring on a micro 3D next!!!

  • hey im planning on going to the e-fest but were is it located

  • Parkzones done it once again! good job Parkzone! the more planes you bring out, the better! i can see this one being a great grass takeoff plane because of its large wheels! new motor - NICE! - if its an improvement on the old one - which was awesome, this will be SUPER awesome!!!

ok, next plane though, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look into a new 3D plane - Without the gearbox, and incorperating the same features that the warbirds have!

f yu made a 3D, it wuld fil just about all the flying styles

  • ...Drooool...

    :P~~

  • Oh very nice ;-) 5*

  • can you put flaps on the t-28? message me please

  • You "could" but it would require a lot of modifications. It's not designed to do so at least.

  • If only 5 channels are needed, no need for a dx6i, I have a dx5e that came with my Fu4, dude don't forget to mention the dx5e... it would be a perfect fit and most people wont have to drop an extra cent for it!!!

  • Yes, it is true the DX5e works great for this airplane. In fact the AR500 rx has a built in "y" cord for the two aileron servos if you want to use it. My trouble is I have all of these warbirds so I need the model memory of the DX6i when I take them to the field.

  • Very Nice, but where are the retracts.

  • Check out our podcast from this week. We discuss the issues with Retracts.

  • when will this plane be shipping out???

  • I forgot to ask will we see a preview of the new E-flite P-40 Warhawk 300 that's coming out soon?

  • Well watch for the E-flite PT-17 Preview to be live tomorrow. We will try to get the P-40 as soon as possible.

  • The new T-34 Mentor 25e ARF looks good too thanks for posting the links to the new products coming soon on Facebook. Alot of great planes coming out just in time since the holiday season is just around the corner. :)

  • Wow very nice work Horizon this is going to be a huge hit at the hobby shops and at the fields. I like how it is ready to have flaps installed as I have a DX6i myself. I don't know whether I should buy one to fly it or just display it for all to enjoy at home.

  • Billy, the answer to that is easy.

Get 2, one to display, one to fly! Problem solved :) Just remember, we're here for you.

  • Haha that might take a while but I like that idea. Maybe we will see a P-51D Mustang 25e from E-Flite in the near future? I was thinking about that as an idea for the platinum series in the lineup with the AT-6 Texan and the Beaver.

  • Very nice. Now they need a BL Spitfire MKII.

  • I'd love to see that. I've modded my personal PKZ Spitfire with a Park 450 and will admit it definitely improves the performance.

  • is this a brand new airplane plz send me a message if it is

  • ah yea its new and looks like its going to be the best one yet cant wait im getting two of em.

  • 4th

  • very nice!

  • parkzone seems like they did a nice job on this plane...it was really stupid of them not to make it in a rtr version

  • Another nice looker.
