  • This is really cool! i know as an Irish dancer it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from its how much you put into it and the love you have for the dance! <3 They are really talented!! check out me and my dance school let me know what you think!! (:

  • I've seen every culture now do the Irish step dancing. I just love how it looks, but sometimes the songs are a little to long for me. I love the Irish culture when it comes to things like this. I don't much else so I am happy they share with other cultures. The only thing that I didn't like about this video is that I wasted time listening instead of watching.

  • I LOVE this! We are Irish and my daughter is an Irish dancer. I love that other cultures embrace the dance and do it beautifully! Kudos to them!

  • Very nice step - you really turn your legs out. Beautiful!!

  • dats rubbish im irish der no way near paddy dancing looool

  • I think... that the guy needs to figure out that he's not Michael Flatley. >_< And I was trying to figure out what was going on at 3:10 and 3:30 as well, it really didn't fit in.

  • @chicapordios87 I say well done to him, there are many Irish that wouldn’t be half as good as him. Myself included.

  • Wahaay its great to see the Japanese taking a part in my culture I absolutly love it!

    Slan leat buachailli agus caillini!

  • @SlankTV spot on

  • @SlankTV good man, yourself

  • @VikingLawyer Haha thank you my boy!

  • are they wearing tap shoes??? why are they wearing tap shoes???

  • I LOVE cultural fusion! Great to see other cultures appreciating this. I say GREAT JOB!!

  • GREAT VIDEO :) makes me smile!

im not sure but I think they where trying to do the sean-nós ( means old ways in irish) style of dancing towards the end! :)

    LOVED IT!

FROM A FAN IN IRELAND =D

  • It's Irish dancing with a spin on it.

  • beissimo fioi. ve sì superài vialtri istesi.

    ;)

  • Congratulations for the MUSIC butttttt.... what the hell is this guy doing?????? oh my god!!!! I'm really surprised irish dance crossed frontiers and glad for that and good people are innovating in other countries but please.... don't try to do ridiculous things.... This guy is really ridiculous....!!!! otherwise congrats for the beautiful musicians!!!!

  • the music is beautiful but the dancing offended me 3:10 what the hell is the guy doing?

  • @TheCherokeeboy Well, it's like lord of the dance, riverdance and all these shows where the guy gets the ego trip, isn't it?

  • @TheCherokeeboy That type of dancing in Ireland is called Sean Nos...I think that they are learning from the looks of it. And it does at first appear odd when first seen. The other ( formalized) is more traditional step dancing. There are additional types of Irish dancing as well ( Ceili for example)

  • @TheCherokeeboy Haha dont go mental im not attacking you, but why did you get offended at your mans dancing :P? I know hes not doing it right but im actually from Ireland and I still loved it, their taking on my culture and im happy enough with that :)!

  • @SlankTV hey, it has nothing to do with culture. It's about doing the right job with the right tool.I feel the same way when somebody try to perform hip hop (my culture) at a string concert, which they do a lot here lately. It don't feel right. There are conservative people and there are radical people.

  • @SlankTV i basicly agree. i play irish traditional music and i think its great that irish music, traditional or other genres is so popular around the world, and people are playing, singing and dancing to irish music in new ways, using all kinds of different instruments, dance styles etc. This performance was pretty conservative compared to many i've seen and heard.

    all the best

  • odd interpretation (especially at 3:30) but I really enjoy your creativity and rhythmical accuracy.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, I agree with Irishlad23ni. I do Irish dancing (and I'm Irish too! not that I'm going to post a video of myself doing it - I'm not that brave). I think it's great that other countries take part in Irish dancing, so people shouldn't be critising them.

  • Why is it, any time somebody posts some irish dancing on youtube, the world comes down on them like a ton of bricks? Does it look like these people are in a competition? no, so why assume that they need to be dancing like their at the world champs? and on top of that, Ive checked all of your profiles and I cant see ANY! of you dancing!

  • well, in irish dance, if you're going to do it, you need to do it right. second, just because we don't have videos of ourselves irish dancing doesn't mean that we don't know how. checking people profiles means nothing. did u ever think that maybe some dance studios have a policy that say that dancers can't post videos online for privacy reasons?

  • You dont need to tell me about doing it right, Ive had lunatics come on here and rant at me, claiming my steps are wrong, and yet I was dancing when they were still just a twinkle in their mothers eye's. Your right, it does need to be done right, but people posting rubbish rather than constructive advice is hardly going to help the dancers very much now is it? Irish Dance Schools... Policies? I'll give you a Dance School Policy - No Negativity, thats one thats regularly forgotten.

  • I agree with you. Riverdance raised the bar and everbody expects to see that standard even with children. They need to get a grip..

  • It seems kinda lazy, But good job (Y)

  • i think their Japanese you fucking twat!!!

  • They need to kick their butts on their trebel hop backs and just more umf! Oh yeah and less tap. Don't like the tap or the arms.

  • their hard shoes look like tap shoes

  • ugghhh this is so boring, they have no energy

  • LOVE IT ^^

  • again it looks like they're going thru the moves robotically. no flame or passion!

  • This is great! I couldn't take my eyes off of them while they were dancing! Awesome job!

  • it was ok till about 3:10 then it started to look more like tap , but good job :D

  • irish dancing japanese style! awesome, keep it up! :D

the only i would say is try to get more power into your dancing, make it clear what your feet are doing if you get me ;) but yeah, great!

  • i think they diont have the complexion to dance irish and it wassn´t good sorry but its the true.

  • You should have a big heat. They are all Japanese. They love Irish music and dance. And they started to train themselves for the dance at their very late age.

  • tooooooooo slow... and what is that on 3:10? improvising? ok stopped watching at 3:24

  • Arn't they supposed to keep their arms down at their sides???

  • More or less. Sean nos step dancing was not strict about that . This is modern step dancing. Yes, the arms are supposed to stay along the body, But commercial stuff like Riverdance and the like have changed that... BTW, from 3:10 to 3:40, they are doing American tap dancing, meaning that the arms are 'free' ...

  • i really liked this-i think the music was great and the dancing too-I think the dancers need to work on their turnout and dance higher on their toes-but overall rhythm is great and very entertaining :)

  • thats mean

  • brilliantly unitentionally hilarious

  • Freakin' Sweet!

  • Wow, this was really good. I wonder how old these guys are.

    Erin

  • O.O this is sooo great man!!!

i love the move at 03:02- that's knowledge baby!!!

    greetings to japan

  • fair play well put together and well good timing. love it .

  • Bouuuh Japanese don't touch the irish culture Bàs chùn tùse

  • Why? Why does it matter what the people are? If you enjoy the music and can play, then play.

  • This is really outstanding. Congratulations to you all ("omedetou," or however you say it...sorry, I know very little Japanese). See comments on your St. Pat's Day hardshoe post.

  • OMG!! 2 of my favourite countries collide!!! yay!!!

  • Lovely! For a Japanese, Irish music sounds so familiar somehow... =D I love it too!!

Good job to everyone! It had been looked even more better if you guys tried to relax a little more and just to have fun!

  • "It had been looked even more better if you guys tried to relax a little more and just to have fun!"

Then it wouldn't be Irish, fella. We always have to be thinking about what next thing is gonna go wrong. ;-)
