Did the "happy ending" of episode 22 really happen? That's pretty much all I want to know.

@Dannyboyyay Yeah dude, this anime is better than some action, gory animes. I'm a guy and I think I cried more than 20 times watching this. This is one amazing anime and I'm not afraid to admit it.
I never cry when watching anime, (I didn't even cry when Maes Hughes died in FMA) but I cried so badly while watching this anime. I couldn't stop the tears running down my face lol
Clannad is the best anime ever. When I first started watching anime, I watched Naruto and Sonic X all day. Then I realized that there were so many better ones to watch.... I only watched Clannad because I liked the opening, to be honest. Never regretted it for a second!
The only thing that made me keep watching season one was the story about the robot and the girl when the animation got better... Season one didn't make me cry, I found nothing sad and every arc had an ending that could be seen from a mile away I felt...

(SPOILER!!) After watching this several times, I've concluded that this opening is SUCH a spoiler when you look at it. When you see the girl and the robot as she's dying in the winter snow, as she does, her hand drops just like Nagisa's does when she dies after giving birth, and they're in the same position! It's made me come to think of the girl and the robot she built as Nagisa and Tomoya. She was the only person he really saw, and she helped build him up into something. inb4 going too deep
@Sparks26fly I'm assuming it's because the original is a visual novel, where the player takes his role. So maybe the openings are theoretically meant for his viewing. Sounds weird, but think about it.

damn this was great i mean i dont get clannad and clannad after story how she is alive in after story and how she is dead in clannad "Nagaisa". What I loved probably the most out of this anime (not to spoil anything or nothing) is that at the begining of each episode they would show this mysterious girl and her robot which actually end up to be Ushio and Tomoya and the robot was a replica of the toy Tomoya bought Ushio when they went on that trip, so powerful this show was

This anime almost made me cry on like the second episode and i barely ever cry on tv shows, right then and there i was like, "this anime is going to be so sad" but im glad i stuck with it, it was sad but it was great. Affter story started getting confusing. But then i thought about it hard and understood it.
I generally avoid sad stories, but Clannad is really touching and worth watching, even if it makes me cry. It taught me about kindness and strength, and there are more than enough happy moments to balance off the sad ones, I feel. (:
Watching Clannad I got to wondering, and if anyone can answer that would be great, are Japanese schools really similar to how they are portrayed in animes and mangas like Clannad and Bleach? I don't know much about Japanese education, but it seems to be extremely strict and unforgiving the way its portrayed. i think what made clanned VERY popular was due to the story being sad and how its not like other animes.
this anime goes past highschool (where most anime takes place) it goes to finding a job, having a family, and going through hardship :(

What I loved probably the most out of this anime (not to spoil anything or nothing) is that at the begining of each episode they would show this mysterious girl and her robot which actually end up to be Ushio and Tomoya and the robot was a replica of the toy Tomoya bought Ushio when they went on that trip, so powerful this show was

@xXxlksgmanxXx Clannad isn't that sad. It's the Afterstory that makes people cry ;) Honestly, when I first watched Clannad I thought it was going to be boring.And it was quite boring for me. But the Afterstory really made me cry. :3 The show is very good. Some funny scenes too.

These are one of the animes where no one asks, "Hey, who's your favorite character?" or "Yeah, -character name- is BEAST!" No, because the storyline involves everyone, and everyone's perspective. There is no "bad guy" in these kinds of anime, but a lot of good guys, some who seem bad, but their side of the story is shown. This is what truly sets Clannad apart from many other animes I've seen before. Feel free to disagree or agree.

This anime almost made me cry on like the second episode and i barely ever cry on tv shows, right then and there i was like, "this anime is going to be so sad" but im glad i stuck with it, it was sad but it was great. Affter story started getting confusing. But then i thought about it hard and understood it.

I generally avoid sad stories, but Clannad is really touching and worth watching, even if it makes me cry. It taught me about kindness and strength, and there are more than enough happy moments to balance off the sad ones, I feel. (:

Watching Clannad I got to wondering, and if anyone can answer that would be great, are Japanese schools really similar to how they are portrayed in animes and mangas like Clannad and Bleach? I don't know much about Japanese education, but it seems to be extremely strict and unforgiving the way its portrayed. I'm speaking in complete ignorance so I would just like information is all, sorry if I offend and/or insulted anyone.
