I am a Falun Gong practitioner. Falun Dafa is a cultivation system in the Buddha School based on the principles of the Universe: 真 Truthfulness 善 Compassion 忍 Forbearance.
Since 1999 it has been brutally persecuted by the CCP in China. People are being killed, tortured, put into concentration camps and have organs harvested from live people, simply because of their belief. More than 3400 Falun Gong practitioners have died at the hands of CCP in the past 12 years.
When I was in college Gangaji and Krishnamurti used to be played on the cable access channel and I would get hypnotized. Turns out that I studied a lot of Asian philosophy and these two people were always a relaxing way to keep me still..
If you want the truth, nuts and bolts, listen to Manly P Hall. He does not show an easy way, he shows the right way and it is hard and it is meant to be. We are meant to grow through struggle and learn through struggle to come full circle. Without struggle there can be no growth. In a sense she is correct, but the peace you find can only be temporary if you do not have your life in order. Witness truth by observing nature and her great work. She gives everything and asks for nothing. Peace.
Gangaji is coming to speak in Chicago in 2010! There will be two events held in Oak Park, IL as follows: April 10th (Sat) - public meeting; April 11th (Sun) - one day retreat.
