I just received this G4 kit that I purchased on Ebay and did the same test. I submerged the G4 ballast underwater and immediately saw bubbles! I tried to power it and it was dead. My conclusion stay away from all the Chinese junk and save your money and buy the quality product. This is the 3rd Chinese hid kit I have purchased in 2 years nothing but trouble and wasted money.

Xentec kits are garbage i have bought a couple from ebay all the ones i got they always flicker. do not buy xentec

Ya i Just got these as well, they picture the older style larger ones on ebay and then bait and switch to these new small plastic ones, the metal case just snaps right off and weigh nothing. Horrible and cheap looking. The ballast work like they should, but for how long
