I was always fascinated with the disco era, Studio 54. I was only 7 years old at the time and my dad use to get dressed up every saturday night to go to this disco called Zanzibar in Newark NJ it was like a mini version of 54. Those were the days, i wonder how many people actually died from AIDS and became a drug fiend after the party was over!!!
dam i use to go there in 78 got coked with grace jones and alot of other ppl there i had alot of fun and no worries of getting caught cuz it was practically legal to smoke dam no matter what new club opens up it will never rival 54
DAMN!!! I was born just too late!!! What a blast it must have been for you folk out there to have experienced such a wonderful magical time!!!! Totally envious!!! But does the movie really reflect of what really went on there?!! Or was it just spiced up by Hollywood? Someone needs to write a book & let us know what the celebrities got up too!!!! HAHAHA!
@sherazman I was a dancer in the movie 54 that was shot in 97 and actually I really had a good time ...it felt real except there was no alcohol...but some nice looking girls...but when I went to New york in 2009 I was in a club beside 54 and the bouncer told me he used to work there in the 70s and that it was a lot of fun...
WOW now this brings me back, at studio 54, 1977 1978 1979, im 52, and i went to this club, back in my youth, that was music, good new york, i lived in queens astoria, it realy took me back, thanks.

@obaidCarkey Well, I am proud to say that I am not an expert on amphetamines or meth! I will say that it certainly wasn't available when I was into experimenting back in the 80's, but that doesn't mean it wasn't available somewhere else. This was what, 77 or 78? @bottlerocket61 HI I use to go to STUDIO all the time! do you have anything from there for sale? I would love to get hold of some of those videos they took there I was wondering if you remember what the paychecks looked like... hope to hear back from you thanks kso
Get a load of those DJ booths back then huh? They had to have all those vinyl records at hand now all that music could easily fit onto one of my IPOD's...
Disco is still King, and Studio 54 will always be the best nightclub to ever have existed. You know a nightclub is good when someone is stuck in that club's window for weeks DEAD!
so many people ended up with aids just from that club! My uncle was 30 years old in the 70's and was able to get in 54 2 times and he told me the sex and drug use was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@davevoorhees0001 MADONNA did 3 shows for me at Stusio 54, for free. I have a great story to tell everyone about MADONNA and the owner "Steve Rubell".
who's the guy between Steve and Margot at 1;29, she commited suicide and the body was discovered some days after that. She was like a kind girl in the midst of wolves...
i was only in my early teens late 70's but i loved that time and the early 80's music was magic. got a question why did the fantastic music of then only last a brief time but this hip hop and rap shit seems to go on forever?
please someone could tell me the name of the song at minute o,13 until 0,15? thanks steve

Disco is still King, and Studio 54 will always be the best nightclub to ever have existed. You know a nightclub is good when someone is stuck in that club's window for weeks DEAD!

@davevoorhees0001 MADONNA did 3 shows for me at Stusio 54, for free. I have a great story to tell everyone about MADONNA and the owner "Steve Rubell".

I was in elementary school during the "disco" age, and I loved it! It may have not been the "best" artistic music , but it WAS fun!!!
