i use comfort hards for competeing in the seasonals and for practice i rarely use sport hards but have done in the past for learning and a bit of fun online way back wen game was new lol i prefere comforts for speed i use the gears just short shift it until i get a stable burnout haha thats my style :D

If your car is powerful enough you can use Sports Hard because you'll have enough tire to get the wheels spinning, and you also will take off faster.

you should put your sensitivity on 7 and everything else of, just hit circle before a corner and flat out while steering, go out and practice!

or go pro and use steering wheel!

Epic chain drift with comfort hards, the smoke puts all of the forza's to shame..... it is a shame though that we do not have the visual customization options that you get on forza..... oh well thats the price you pay for great driving..

Y'know, I've noticed that the Standard tires make it easier to drift...is that because the tires create massive understeer (which is best for drifting) or what? It's always confused me...I happened to notice that I could drift with my Viper GTS with Road (soft) tires, but not with Sport or Racing, even though my Viper has just shy of 1,000 HP.

Less grip = sliding is easier. Having less grip doesn't really create massive understeer, it just makes it much easier to break the tire's limit on entry which makes it feel like there is an understeer balance, when really you've just gone in far too hot for how much grip you have.

Also, grippier tires will loose and regain traction more violently, faster and with less predictability, so it's much easier to spin or understeer instead of drift.

@ShadowJin7 put your downforce to like 10 to 15 in the back and like 10 or 5 in the front then in order to be able to handle the car way better put both front and rear suspension all the way up and to steer more put the lsd all the way down

All wheel users will tell you Comfort hards on front and rear is the way to go. When you have comfort mediums it's so hard to trace the wheel and the car ends up snapping back.

The only plus I see and have noticed drifting myself is speed with the sports. If you're tandem drifting, and want to be able to pull away, sports. But if you're drifting by yourself, or if you want to tandem with a friend using comfort hards, it looks smoother, and it's easier to link drifts with comfort hard tires.

@wake068 Yes, exactly, that's what I'm talking about. My '70 Challenger has 700+ hp and boatloads of torque, and needs to use racing tires to help control it. However, my Blitz ER37 Skyline is not nearly as strong and can be fitted with Comfort Softs and runs flawlessly. :)

It´s better to drift with soft comfort tires in the front and hard comfort tires in the back. That way u can handle the whole traction to the ground in the front of the car but ur back goes and goes and goes. Needs some training but then actually ur drifting pretty nice around the corners.
