  • Hate is easy; love takes courage. Not equating forgiveness with love, but, you get the idea.

  • I think that love has a lot to do with forgiveness and yes it does take courage to love.

  • I was not able to watch the rest of the Fez vids from this week at the time you released them, and it has plagued my mind ever since... I'm watching them now and it is just the Fez fix I needed today.

  • Thanks for watching Z.

  • You go, CK!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah, Alright!

That's the CK, I remember first watching on a very PUBLIC domain...

    Your Baaack...

    Love Ya...

    Peace~n~RainBows

  • It's hit or miss.

A Fez is about what's on my mind.

  • Excellent commentary on the strength of forgiveness. I agree fully.

  • I've never gone for that whole 'turn the other cheek' thing.

I never thought pacifism worked in the face of total aggression.

I go with the old adage "Speak softly and carry a big stick".

  • I'm not a complete fool. Our base instinct is fight or flight and of course if it gets severe enough I'll revert to one or the other. To turn the other cheek is the next step in our evolution. To be able to live in cities and in tight quarters aboard ships crossing the galaxy. A way to end all the fighting. Now where are those bullets for my gun?

  • yeah, i don't see what you are talking about as pacifism. you can fully defend yourself and turn the cheek. retaliation and defense are not the same thing.

  • Thanks happyfluke for making it clearer.

  • Turning the other cheek isn't defence, it's the absence of it.

It may work if you wish to avoid blood shed, but if you are faced with unavoidable conflict, then it seems a rather strange position to hold.

  • I'm more talking about the Irish courts idea of self defense as something to be frowned upon.

If someone breaks into your home you have to hide from them.

    But where will that end?

People need to realise there are consequences for their actions or else they keep acting the same as always.

If an intruder is aware that he's taking his life into his hands by breaking in then he may just rethink his decision and homeowners can sleep safer.

  • Yes, we have to be practical.

  • We all learn not to have friends who demand a loyalty oath.

  • That is not a good way to begin a friendship.

That's how one begins a marriage.

  • well said

  • The best thing to do when thinking about something that bothers me, is to think of two months going by, because by then I know it will not be on my mind. So I give myself two months and amazingly enough it goes away even faster. Watching a good movie, going to the park, or traveling to the trick.

  • thanks. . . I tend to worry a lot.
