  • i wna this in dvd i cant find it in greece do u know if its on a dvd here in internet from where can i download it?please tell me...

  • this is the year that mitch mitchell pass away :(..rip big mitch and all members of experience...

  • Got to see the show in '08 at the Schnitz in PDX. Met Billy Cox after the show and he signed my South Saturn Delta shirt with Jimi on the Panhead. As Billy has a Harley too, he was more than gracious to me as a fellow rider. that was Mitch Mitchells last show. RIP dude.

  • Great

  • I met Doyle Jr. back in '93 at DFW airport. I got to chat with him for a bit about music... he is a very nice person. He even gave me one of his guitar picks! I loved when he & Charlie Sexton would swap guitars during a show & people would go nuts... most of 'em didn't know he played a righty guitar upside down! XD

  • How sad that the Experience can also go down in history as the first "power trio" whose members have all passed away.

  • you know hendrix was good when it takes like 12 guys to put on a show that he would have put on any day...

  • Is the guy singing Angel cold??I love Billy Cox,Buddy Guy,Eric Gales.Eric johnson,Kenny Wayne Shepherd, karaoke with a guitar champions of the world two thousand and never.GO HOME you two,i despise you and all you stand for.Hendrix was about freedom, doing your own thing.Do you think Jimi would have approved?I`m sorry but i seriously doubt it. Peace

  • the 2010 tour sucked so bad. it didn't even resemble hendrix. it was just a bunch of self absorbed guitarist playing as fast as they can each trying to out do each other . i was soooo disapointed!

  • bitch

  • nice try

  • It's great that they do this tour every year. Last year, they should of done a tour for SRV also because it has been 20 years since he died too.

  • Rip Mitch Mitchell

  • ah dude. i want to see this over summer, but i don't have any friends who'd be into this, seeing as i'm an 18 year old girl. should i just go by myself?

  • @bubs7569 fuck yeah

  • COLDCUT74 DIGS AND LOVES U ALL THE MEMBERS OF HENDRIX EXP

  • its sad to see her making money off of her brother that she didn't even know :/

  • Imagine if stevie coulda been there... R.I.P.

  • Where's randy hansen??? These guys are all amazing but no1 can emulate Jimi better than Randy Hansen. It would have been amazing to see randy billy and mitch play.

  • @HendrixFan6971 agree!!! but money talks not soul in this shows...

  • @HendrixFan6971 you are right! at least Kenny Wayne Shepherd headlined! kudos.

  • Too bad Tommy Bolin couldnt have been there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • All right, but once you see Randy Hansen, no one compares.

  • Much prefer Page.

  • randy hansen better then theses guys

  • I've seen Eric Gales live. He's just flipping the guitar over like Jimi. If you EVER get to a chance to see Eric Gales play with his band or with his brothers The Gales Brothers don't miss it. I saw Experience Hendrix too in Chicago. Excellent show. The only think I was curious about does anybody know if Randy Hansen played anywhere on this tour. That dude is a sick Hendrix player.

  • sweet bramhall and mato ,2 of the best

  • too bad his manager killed him... just read and make you own conclusion

  • RIP Hendrix, Redding and Mitchell

    lmao they all fucking died....

  • Wow, that was cool.

  • Where is Lenny Kravitz?, he is Jimmy Hendrix huge fan.

  • wtf a les paul?!! :/

    lame

  • who dares to play a les paul at a hendrix tribute? and please don't tell me "but dude on wikipedia it's says..." you know what I mean

  • @yojoe71 hendrix did play a black beauty les paul and a flying v, but your right strat was his main guitar!

  • which is the song that jonny lang plays? (sorry for my ignorance)

  • @pibepuga It's called "Fire". glad to help.

  • @gomperhooblet thanks :D

  • Thank you for listening to Jimi and filling my bank account. You werent his sister. You was merely blood related

  • Here's what bothers me: These guys playing their guitar upside down. They're just making it harder for themselves to hold the chords and strum correctly. Hendrix didn't play like this, he also restrung the guitar so he could play chords like a normal left handed guitar.

  • @jiggajesse Theyre not holding anything upside down they are left handed

  • @FlipGordon wrong. @ :55 he's holding a gibson les paul upside down. You can clearly see the low E string on the bottom.

  • @jiggajesse Im not wrong if you look at the video hes also left handed.

  • @FlipGordon well you obviously don't know shit about guitars, because a left handed player would have restrung the guitar instead of just flipping the guitar so the strings remain upside down. So, no he's not playing guitar left handed, he's playing the guitar completely upside down.

  • @jiggajesse Why would a RIGHT handed player Flip a guitar upside down and play left handed? And dont say I dont know shit about guitars Ive built 5 them.

  • @FlipGordon Flipping the guitar upside down isn't playing left-handed. It's simply playing the guitar upside down. In able to properly play the guitar left-handed, you would have to restring the guitar so the lower notes are on top, and the higher notes are on the bottom, like Hendrix did. Is that clear enough for you now? You might know how to build a guitar, but you don't know much about playing one...

  • @jiggajesse ok well Lets see Hes hitting the notes with his left hand ( YES he might be right handed and he might have flipped the guitar upside down ) But hes playing left handed.

  • @FlipGordon wait, what? are you serious? GTFO! thanks for pointing out the obvious!

  • @jiggajesse Well I thought you dident know a few posts ago you Said he wasent playing left handed , Now your saying its obvious he is playing left handed?

  • rip mitch

  • YOU EVIL WOMAN! WITCH

  • It is easy to criticize when you're nobody, try at first to criticize yourself. You should start to criticize yourself to achieve something in your life, but not the people who have long achieved something and many of them recognized as a celebrity

  • People why do you say about someone is that he is a bad guitarist, if you own nothing is and if you know how to play better, go out on stage and play so well that everyone will talking about you, not you of yourself, and then maybe your charges can have some meaning and someone will listen to you, and don't talk stupidity towards those people that the whole world considers them the legends...

  • That woman is not and never was Jimi's sister.

  • This was GREAT!!!! Thank You, very much for the post!!!!!

RIP---JIMI, Ronnie, Duane, Allen, Berry, Woody, Leon, Billy, Steve~~

    Many more,,,,,,,,unmentioned

  • This tour was phenominal. I was fortunate to have caught the show with Mitch Mitchell on Drums. He had a singular, stand out sound. The 2010 tour with many different, and many same, performers was so great a pleasure that I will certainly see the next incarnation, and the next. So much talent. Unbeatable playlist.

  • @firm7na AMEN !

  • All Do have a story to tell and yes all good, but the one thing missing is the sheer fluency and ease with with Jimi created the magic. Bless you for trying guys, but stand there til fucking doomsday and it just won't be Jimi.

  • Just bullshit players...guitar wankers with no feeling...as far away from Hendrix as you could probably come...

  • @MB280E

You call Buddy Guy a bullshit player? There do you think Jimi got his style and influense from...

  • @stoffreklam Your right about Jimi his main influences were Buddy Guy and Muddy Water's. You can hear Buddy Guy riff's in hendrix playing. Voodoo chile was about Muddy Waters style.

  • I hardly recall Hendrix shows being preceded by so much bullshit.

  • it takes a lot to write music that every other musician on the planet enjoys playing :) R.I.P Mitch Mitchell and Jimi Hendrix

  • i can't believe all three are DEAD !! I wonder if JH was really murdered. They say his manager was a real piece of work.

  • @motokev

It was propably suicide....he took 9 pills....and 9 was hes number...He was teared apart by music industry and all those greedy bastards...if i remember right he got 11000 dollars in bank when he died!!! WTF HE WAS RIPPED BY EVERYONE, he didnt care about monet...Maybe this mean-ole-world wasnt right place to him....Jimi u are in heaven , in better place...we miss you !! But your music lives forever...P.s. i suggest u read books about him, very intresting stuff

  • "My brother Jimi"...There's groupies that knew him better than she did :/

  • @Blackoutwalkin correctomundo.

  • @Blackoutwalkin You said it!

  • does anyone got the vid of doyle bramhill playing angel

  • I was @ this show @ the Tower Theatre in Philly. Mitch Mitchell died a few months later. Incredible show. Jonny Lang smoked it!

  • jimi laid the bricks in the road with his sweat and blisters

he is the creator of a whole culture

called rock as we know it

  • These guys are good but they are no match for Jimmy or Bonjovi

  • @suckcream Bon Jovi???????????????????

  • @suckcream WTF....BONJOVI ...WHAT THAT GOTTA DO WITH JIMMY?

  • SHUT UP AND PLAY!

  • world's greatest GUITARIST JIMI HENDRIX long live is music.....................

  • @ beautokyo

Oh you saw them live? Then you'd know that Billy cox is an outstanding bass player, otherwise the great jimi Hendrix would have wasted his time with him at all. Go practice on your ten watt amp in your room some more, and please for all our sake, keep going on YouTube comments and speaking your stupid mind. :)

  • My brother Jimi? Sorry Janie, I just cant dig it....

  • I have a hendrix tribute that Uli Roth ran. It was incredible also....... Now THAT's a guy that should be invited....if he's still alive that is...lol

  • Listen to Johnny Lang Singing with eyes closed,He should be black!!!

  • Mitch Mitchell has the fastest hands. He was the perfect match for Jimi, wasn't he?

  • @dennisl2008 right brother, So I say Mitch is the faaaastest drummer ever !!!!

my favorite, I ve noticed that difference comparin´to bonham or paice, only moon was along with him !!!

  • @beautokyo

You're an idiot. Jimi hendrix was on heavy drugs right before he died and he was scetching out that Billy cox and buddy miles were stealing his mojo. So the record company had them fired. Billy cox is a great bass player. Go listen to band of gypsies.

  • @joskam092 I saw the band of gypsies live asswipe.....so go fy

  • Good god.......billy cox was going to get fired just days before JH died.....hes just makin a buck.......boring bassist...........

  • @BeauTokyo what???? do some research ...before you make a coment like that

  • @dipsetallday75 Read Mitch Mitchels book.....if that's not from the horses mouth than what is.....

  • screw the commercial 0:00

  • Where the fuck is John frusciante?? He can play Hendrix like no other.

  • @sphincter7 dude your 100% right

  • i got to go to one of the experience concerts, one of the best shows ever!!!!!!

  • it only proves eric johnson is the baddest motha fucka to ever pick up a guitar. he can play anything.

  • fuck Janie...Jimi is not even her brother shes a scam and uses Jimi years after his death.

  • yeah Eric Johnson !

  • F*ck! Kenny Wayne should stop prettending to be a "next" srv.. He suck at it!

  • 4:23 - 4:29

    Ooooh yeeeah

  • Dont sleep on eric gales, amazing guitar player!

  • This is some great deticated to Jimi Hendrix footage by the best of modern axe players

  • My son and I witnessed the 2010 tour in Atlanta and I met the living legend Billy Cox as part of my bucket list unbelievable time ! David, roomfullofmirrors

  • Eric Johnson gave me goosebumbs. He's just so unbeliveable. :O

  • I love these guys...........They gave the world so much inspiration and still continue to do so.

  • Why is Eric Gale playing Eric Johnson?!

  • @BJrok Eric Gale is playing purple haze it's a jimi song ! (sorry for my bad english... i'm french)

  • ghetto playing purple haze.lol!

  • his name is spelt 'Jimi Hendrix' not Jimy or jimmy its 'Jimi' get it right.

  • I hope there more videos of this tour were they dont just talk the entire time

  • some other tours of hendrix inclue double trouble(SRV's band), joe satranari, aerosmith. i wnat to see this show :0

  • load of shit, nothing like the real thing.

  • Janie is a bloodsucking vampire..the kind that Jimi detested in the music business. She is sucking the marrow for all she can. She will never suck the true spirit out of Jimi's music though....

  • god i hate that woman. Just abused hendrixs name to make millions

  • @tomleech92 Yeah she is just aweful, she doesn't deserve the name Hendrix.

  • @tomleech92 totally agree. she's a freakin' grave robber. I read Sharon Lawrence's book "Jimi Hendrix" and found out the real truth about her.

  • @johnseal6 Is the book worth a read? May purchase it if so but I've got a few books to catch up on first.

  • seen it at the fox in St.Louis Mo....AMZING!!!

  • seeing them tonight

  • im going this weekend!

  • seeing this tonight in mil-town

  • "Give me an A for apple..."

    -Jimi

  • Saw Experience Hendrix last night. Incredible stuff.

  • going tomarrow at the chicago theater

  • Man, I can't friggin wait to see Satriani take that stage and do some of those songs.

  • seein them at the warfield in sf march 10 or 11

  • Ernie Isley is one of the main figures that should have been on this tour long time ago. I am very blessed to have met Mitch Mitchell... when you play Jimi's music do it your way it is the best way to pay reverence to Jimi, and amazing spirit!!!

  • This would've been so fuckin cool to see live

  • We all know who was missing: Stevie Ray Vaughn. I think the guitarists who really "get" the sonic style of Hendrix are Stevie and EJ.

  • The difference between SRV and Eric Johnson is/was that Stevie was 90% Hendrix and 10% something else whereas Eric is one of the most original sounding players of all time with a totally unique tone and phrasing like no one else. SRV was Hendrix goes to Texas - Eric is his own entity altogether. There is no comparison between the 2 other than both were/are great players.

  • @SabuPtolemy that's where you got it wrong. You can't just go out and say SRV was 90% some other guitar player. Nobody is 90% someone else. SRV was SRV, and while Eric Johnson can play incredibly well, it just bores me

  • Good for you if Eric Johnson bores you - doesn't change the fact that he is far more original as a musician on every level than SRV ever was.

  • Definitely agree that he created a new sound. But it doesn't mean it's good. It's edgy elevator music

  • imo, SRV sounded nothing like hendrix. i can hear the influence but if anything, he sounded more like albrert king. if you listen to hendrix play blues and SRV play blues, they have different styles for sure. SRV had some of the same energy though.

  • @myrg450 check out Randy Hansen's (that's right, Randy Hansen!) rendition of Hear My Train a Com'in on Youtube.

  • Only Guitarist missing was Vince LaBauve.

  • Totally agree with Clark1284. Philip Sayce is on whole other level than these guys, besides Eric Johnson. I consider Philip to be one the of greatest of all time. Great playing nonetheless though.

  • I dont want to sound negative or anything. & I know I didnt watch the full show. Although after seeing this video. It just makes me miss hearing Jimi lol oh & P.S. Booo Janie

  • how in the name of god could PHILIP SAYCE not be on this tour?!?!?!? check him out, more influenced by hendrix than all these cats, more powerful a player than all of them too....

  • because it is not a "who looks the most like him" competition..

  • hmmm, i think if you were really listening to his music you would hear how much more influenced philip is by jimi than all of the people on this tour. i guess my biggest thing is somehow Kenny Wayne Copycat Shepard (incredibly he has gotten by by being a one man SRV tribute, note for note) got on this tour bc he has a bigger name but when you clearly look at both his and Philip's music, there is no comparison, KWS couldn't hold Philip's guitar strap...

  • no one in the general public really knows who he is though.

  • they will though, they will.

  • i hope so. he deserves it.

  • Philip Sayce can play his ass off. I saw his videos on here. He has the "Hendrix" thing down.

  • of course kenny wayne would play a more SRV version of 'come on'

  • samuel l jackson plays guitar?lol

  • Haha, thats a good one, he looks like him yeah :o)

  • wow his sister is very pretty RIP The Experience

  • That's his step sister.

  • I'm sitting here reminiscing about this tour last year. I was at the Louisville show and it was truly one of the best moments in the 15 years that I've been around. I got to meet Billy Cox, and it was one of the last shows before Mitch Mitchell passed away.

  • =0 wish i got to go

  • R.I.P JIMI, MITCH, NOEL

  • @anchelrg and Buddy Miles..

  • @anchelrg and billy cox on bass too...

  • omfg! the dude playing his axe was left handed and he didnt switch the stings around!!!!

  • ya i heard its like a famlie tradion with him

  • alot of people learn that way and then just get used to it. its mindblowing watching them play chords lol

  • jimy made love with his stratocaster....

  • On stage!!!!!! :D

  • @idaknn faget

  • @idaknn Spell Jimi right for gods sake, I'm sick of seeing people spell his name Jimmy Jimy or Jimmi it's so annoying.

  • @hpcompaqd530FFS YOU'RE RIGHT!!! JHIMMI WOULD HAVE HATED IT!!!

  • @hpcompaqd530FFS you think thats annoying? jim hendricks

  • @idaknn and magic ...

  • jimi played it better

  • Of course he did, hes the best.

  • On a les paul? :s

  • RIP Mitch Mitchell

  • i was at this show in philly at the tower theatre buddy guy rules

  • He got that right! Eric Gales = Incredible guitar player!

  • I went to the LA show of the Experience Hendrix tour-it was FANTASTIC!! I sure hope they have another tour in 2009. I wouldn't miss it!

  • that tour was so FUCKING AWESOME. I met eric johnson there.

  • This was just beautiful.

  • wish they got this on DVD . . .

  • god i love mitch mitchell, he seemed like such a cool guy... and what a great drummer

  • Man, that looks like an awesome show, I would have loved to be there.
