My favourite Gouldman song is, strangely enough, The World Is for the Young, a little ditty at the end of the Mrs Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter movie. It is sung by the actors, not Herman's Hermits. It is included on the soundtrack LP. Pure joy. Every Graham fan must hear it. Also Iceberg from How Dare You is a beautiful Graham-sung gem. And, of course, From Rochdale to Ocho Rios.
For me the best songwriter ever. Graham toured Holland very succesfully in march. Thousands of people saw him playing all these old hits. Most of the crowd didn't realise it were all Gouldman songs
Rock/Pop owes this man a debt that is SOOO IMMENSE that it's impossible to even begin to describe it!!! Graham deserves to be in The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame a helluva more than about 70% of the folks who are already there!!
Wow, I grew up listening to his songs and then him with 10cc, but I never heard this stuff. Very cool! That first tune is very Left Banke! Thanks for posting this. I love hearing him do his tunes
Seriously though, can anybody tell me what songs he sang lead on while in 10cc? Because I cannot tell if it's him, Eric Stewart, or Kevin Godley most of the time.
I just learned that Graham wrote all those famous "British Invasion" hits. I had no idea who he was or how prolific his talent was until now. Thanks for the clip, very informative!
Always loved GG's songs before and with 10cc. Loved the fact that 10cc had four lead singers and songwriters. Very well put together video as well. Was it Windows Movie Maker?
Thanks for posting this gem. Truly Graham is one of the most under-rated pop music songwriters of all time I would put him in the same class with Lenon/Mcartney.
The Beatles were great...
But, quite simply, Graham was, and is, the best.

really like his songs, especially busstop and no milk today. But my absolute favorites are the songs he wrote for the animated movie "animalympics".

Very nicely done. A fitting tribute for a deserving but underappreciated artist. Go GG!
