The tail rotor is not the problem-Its the nut behind the cyclic-Vertical loads will screw you up. and no airbag is going to help when it breaks up @100 kts into a solid object. Autorotation and a good pilot are all thats needed.

ok so the helicopter pilot survives but what about the people on the 3rd floor of that building?? they should make airbags for that!
