i had a problem bout the movie, but the way you explained it made sense. i wanted the squid and also the end part as well, but it was a ok movie, but x-men, what do you say bout that, did you do a review for that?
the only thing that really bothered me about the whole thing was that i felt the ending was sort of dumbed down abit. while i realize that ozymandias couldn't have rambled one about alexander the great for twenty minutes, it still would have been better to see at least some of that. on the whole i thought his character wasn't developed much at all in the film. he was a little flat. i also would have liked to see more of the newstand story. i think it would've given the end more of and impact.
i have been an avid fan of the series for awhile now and was a bit skeptic when i heard they were making a movie. the film version exceded my expectations and was very enjoyable. the film managed to maintain that comic book sort of feel with the cinemetogrophy. i was really surprised at how well the whole story translatted on to film.
Mhh, I've read the graphic novel (which was epic win, don't get me wrong,) but I'm not so sure I want to go see the movie in theaters.
I mean, call me a prude if you must, but I honestly don't want to see it if there's graphic sex scenes. That may sound a little childish, but I don't. Are they really that bad? I've heard mixed responses.
I know what you mean, and I fell close to the same way.
There *is* graphic nudity during the sex scene in the movie, though to the best of my memory it was only waist up. The length and graphic nature of the sex scene was unnecessary, in my mind, and I think the movie would've been served much better, both thematically and in terms of appropriateness, by eschewing the nudity in the scene and merely showing an awkward, clumsy, unromanticized lead-in and then cutting to the next scene.
the sex scenes are pretty much hardcore humping. I kind of ingored the whole thing all thogather because it had almost nothing to do with the story. other that that I thought overall It was pretty good. worth at least watching once.
but i seen the movie and comic and i think it was the best thing i seen on the big screen since the dark knight witch also from dc so i guess there doing somethin right
but its not just th amazing comic that made what it is but legendary pictures are amazin at everything with there great director but enough said i let ppl b.
also b4 i 4get the movie is better than the matrix 'my opinoin'
Obviously, I don't agree with you on that statement. :P But I've always said that these kinds of things are individual and subjective, so just because I think a certain way about The Watchmen doesn't mean others will.
I have to agree that the ending in the movie was a welcome change. The book's ending worked well, but would have been unforgiveably absurd in movie format.
Also, I HEARD that the director's cut will contain something like an hour extra footage, including the news vendor scenes. Should be really cool
The news vendor scenes would add some useful context, I think. I felt there wasn't enough explanation for the escalation of hostilities between the US and Russia, so it'll help there.
It'll probably also set up the final scene better, which would help a lot, I think.
It's a good point, I still think it's king king vs 95-99% of the movies out there, I can't begin to say how much I enjoyed the film, If I tried my comments would never end. (of course Ill keep making those comments elsewhere and millennia from now those comments will still be archived somewhere in some archive.)

"Better than the Matrix" is high praise, indeed!

"archived in some archive" genius. how about "recorded in some archive" instead, we'll just pretend that's what I said initially.
