There is a RPG that came out on the SNES before this one and was translated to english last year, it's very cool with an interesting card battle system. This is however the first fighting game of the franchise. There were many DB and DBZ games for the NES before this one.

It looks like a great fighter, but I wish Bandai hired a better developer instead of TOSE doing all of the Butoden and the Hyper Dimension games.

Not only that, but I feel that Bandai should've hired either Natsume to do the game development as well as the music, or have Human Entertainment do the music on their awesome sound driver while TOSE developed the games.

there are several things I didn't know about this game:

-Meteor smashes? Damn even Cell didn't used them xD

- How Vegeta used that "taunt" just before Goku uses spirit bomb? And again - none of chars done it through the entire game :)

These 2 things, quite hard fighters (Cell at the end is a massacre, but I kicked his ass using Vegeta) and incredible music (Maybe even better than in sequels) makes Super Butouden 1 awesome game

I liked splitscreen beter than the modern games zoomout. Could you imagin this game with zoomout? It wold reduce the fighters to a bunch of pixels when the are far away from eachother. ^^°
