seen heaven and hell in chicago in 08 masters of metal tour with tesament Motorhead Heaven and Hell and Judas Priest.Priest headlined but heaven and hell smoked them.Halford was limited in what songs he could still pull off Dio and the boys cranked out the classic metal like a rock machine. It was great.they played almost flawlessly.I seen them again in chicago 1 yr later.they rocked it out again.this time playing songs off new album.songs sounded better live then in the studio it was incredible
dio is a king, i agree, but he sounds very bad at here, ha cant sing anymore, not like before, he sounds like he's torturing too much, but iommi's riffs are still sick!!!
@porsaspersereika That's a harsh statement....If you could find a singer who would sound better singing this song than Dio, I'd be interested in a listen
Dio did 3 Sabbath cd's? I own heavn and Hell(its an older cd)and then when I was in wall mart I randomly saw this on the shelf and was like new Sabbath, sweet gotta check that out some time. Sabbath is sabbath when Dio sing's as well it's not just with Ozzy. He started it but Dio came when Ozzy went solo, but you claim there is 3 sabbath with Dio? what cd's are they? I only own one and know this as a 2nd. sounds bad ass! what ya think? Keep it Metal!
Gems are: -Heaven and hell -Mob rules -Dehumanizer Also theres really good BS (not Bull s***, but black sabbath) albums available that doesn't include ozzy or dio. It's really shame that these albums haven't got the respect they should have got! -Born Again -Seventh Star -The Eternal Idol -Headless Cross -Tyr -Cross Purposes -Forbidden Born Again includes Deep Purple vocalist, Ian Gillian and is really good. Seventh star is song by Glenn Hughes and its awesome too, others include tony martin!
You re fuckin right man I mean Born again(Born Again, Zero the hero, Trashed, dirbutin the priest!!!!) is one of the top Sabs album and its unknown! Also Seventh Star!(no stranger to love,Seventh star, In memory)
A band formed by Ritchie Blackmore. Dio joined in after Elf, then he left Rainbow for Sabbath. I'm pretty sure rainbow went on with Joe Lynn Turner on vocals after that.
Hey, I've got to accept taht Dio's voice is still an icon, but let's be honest and say that Iommi's talent as the Riff master is the basement of Sabb... Lon live both: Ronnie and Tony!
What the hell are you on about Biedrik4. Just listen Sabbath's NIB (especially the chorus), Who Are You, Sabbra Cadabra, that's an excellent Ozzy sound there and not replaceable by Dio. Both are metal gods.
on paper only. and with Ozzy suing Tony for 50% of the name *and* all the profits (including accrued from the 18 years that he was fired)... that paper isn't worth much. though to Sharon it looks like her goldmine.
Well, Black Sabbath isn't really changing its name, but Black Sabbath with Dio as the singer has changed its name to HaH. The actual Black Sabbath still has its awesome name
actually i hav seen dio twice in the last two years and his voice sounds the same as it does on the albums which is amazing considering he is already in his sixties
well he was great in montreux 07 and so he is on the album but compare him with live evil or the hammersmith cd i completly forgot how fucking great his voice was hes still crazy but he used to be out of this world for a non classically trained guy
one of my joys in life is to pull up next to these rap playing losers and crank my 18 inch box speakers while CRANKING dio at his finest! they take notice- and heed to the talent that is SABBATH.
Why? Thaat's FAR too big, it would be distorted from being too close to them.
My Sony does fine, 6 inchers, with subs built in. Great for Geezers Bass!! Also, it fine tunes this album, bringing up the highs (I love the album but they mixed too much middle, and low, so it sounds a tad bit murky!)

I have to admit, this new sabbath sucks!
you idiots must have not listen much to their older stuff. There is no comparison in the quality of music, a few good hard groovy riffs is not enough to make this devout sabbath fan rejoice.
Hmmm...This one is not my speed..but damn I am glad and appreciative that they added diversity and didn't simply return to the 80's patern...This new album has something for everybody...Alot like Dehumanizer...Takes a few listens and then your hooked.
this is really good its not completely old school wich is a good thing because people who like modern music can also really enjoy the awesomeness of this band.
Dehumanizer indeed was a great album, the last great album behind the so so killing the dragon from Dio...Dio is clearly out of touch with what made him awsome to begin with... Gone are the days of mystical metal, for Ronnie anyways!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Well, I think he's been trying to get back to that after the more modern 90's albums...but the problem with the new H&H stuff is that his voice is starting to go,(Not that you can blame him for that, and he still delivers really well for a 68 yr old man.) plus Iommi seems to just be repeating himself.
I fuckin' loved Dehumanizer!!!! I saw them twice on that tour.Once with Danzig at the Arogon Ballroom, and once at the Star theatre in Merriville Indiana.Met the band in Indiana.Nice guys.
IMO the best song on this album. really impressive album for a band thats been around forever. Solid effort from one of the best bands ever. Dio sounds great considering his age.
sounds great. many will compare it to heaven and hell and mob rules and may be disapointed but im not. those two albums can never be topped. but this album still rocks from what ive heard.far better then dehumanizer and the best metal album in yrs.I seen this line up last summer and it was killer.i hope they tour this summer.I will be there to rock again with the Gods of metal.I already pre ordered this album.i dont buy many cd's but im supporting this band cause I want them to do a follow up cd
Also my favorite Maiden album and one of my alltime favorites, but it wasnt the best of eighties IMO. Holy diver, Last In Line, H&H, Mob Rules beat it in my books. But its just a matter of taste. But this new album rocks! Better than I expected.
Yeah, not even Slayer with their signature most evil and hellish sound ever. Metallica of course is very different. Mastodon is too.
The point B.S. is unbeatable. I bet old people mosh harder than the fans when they hear the new shit , then they beat the shit outta the new fans with walkers, lol.
Btw, Tony's riffs are still diminishing and sinister as fuck. And Geezer's bass intro has that classic evil, dreadful groove we all love.
