  • I cried when I watched this... I want to watch this show now... people are such hard headed idiots

  • lol i started crying when jamie started crying cause those people are assholes

  • A real man.. thank god there are still people think like that .. maybe he gonna change something about the eating habbits.. its his dream lets support him

  • he's the man

  • im way too skinny and it sucks cause people make fun of me all the time and its so hurtful, i wish i was curvy :'(

  • jamie oliver is amazing!

  • POTATOES!

  • all of these anti-American comments are pathetic... stupidity isn't nation specific, it's inherent in all undereducated humans and by you posting your cowardly remarks aimed at demonizing Americans shows that you are one of those ignorant and stupid homosapiens mentioned. way to move forward...

  • @TheyRThem WELL SAID. It's confusing to me why some Britons and other Europeans try to equate poor Americans with the entire US population. The healthy food can be VERY EXPENSIVE. Instead of showing sympathy toward these poor people, these sick bastards choose to make fun of them and the whole nation. That says something about these arrogant foreigners. I'm from a CA, a so-called "liberal" state (thanks to that bitch Pelosi), and even I can't stand these hypocrites.

  • And that is becoming a huge problem for eastern Europe too :(

  • "I've tried every diet, I've tried going to the gym, I just can't get the motivation!"

........ well then obviously you HAVEN'T tried everything. It's called persistence, fatty. One gym session isn't gonna make you lose all that fat.

  • 0:55 - just let them die. nobody gives a shit about these american fucktards. they're the dumbest people on the planet right now, i mean for fucks sake.. their kids dont even know what a tomato is, because they never eat vegetables... and why?? because it's cheaper to buy burgers at mcdonalds than it is to buy real food (if you can call that genetically modified shit they sell in the us supermarkets food) to cook from...

just let 'em get their coronaries - who cares?!

    ungrateful fucks!!

  • @hcvang they're only ungrateful because they don't understand.

you heard that radio host pretty clearly, he's an arrogant bastard.

Its much easier and cheaper to get fast food in america then it is to get healthy food

for school children, their social life can be affected. no kid wants to look like the only one in school with a carrot and the rest with burgers.

American arrogance is the biggest problem, right next to the fact that money is all the food industries are actually focused on.

  • @LeoDaFreek Yeah, like I said. America... land of the fat and home of the greedy.

  • you brought it on yourselves, america... you wanted food to be so fucking cheap, they had to remove all nutritional value from it, cut down everything, etc etc - food, inc - see it.

  • I thought the beginning was a commercial!

  • holy mother of god how much do you eat ! but as much as poeple are making fun of it that is terrible , i live in australia and we have wonderful fresh produce all the time . but there needs to be something done in America .

  • @hitman09877 will never happen for as long as they pray to the dollar - monsanto owns the grains for every fucking food in the country, and they're poisoning the rest of the world too, because of their greed... these swine who wanted cheap food after the fucking war (not to mention houses hundreds of miles out of town because it's not 'cool' to live in the city) are actually spreading their garbage to the rest of us, either by war or by export. it disgusts me no end - let 'em choke on their fat.

  • He is my hero♥ Ok , I eat healthy , cuz I live in Slovakia and in our schools we have healthy meal..ok , not everytime , but so much healthier than this..Jamie is BIG inspiration for EVERYONE , no matter if we eat or not eat healthy , he is AMAZING cuz of his courage and zeal! He is BIG MAN! ♥

  • @misiacik414 and guess what the people think when you say 'slovakia' to assholes from the US...

    "oh, a third world country"

Any country in the world is a 'third world' country to these fucktards if it's not america. and you're healthier than they could ever be with their current attitudes, but still they look down on you...

i mean these people are supposedly the leaders of the world - isnt that frightening???

  • Oh my gosh! I don't even live in Huntington, WV.... I live in a city nearby... There are people who are overweight and it is bad there, but he's literally making the laziness and lack of education seem worse than what it is.

Not to mention, did he get his information based on the governments hospital records??? Because if it is all based on the local hospital records, then it's not just HUNTINGTON, it's nearly the whole Tri-State.

  • @AMANDAtheAWESOMEone excuses excuses. america is fat, its not a secret

  • @zackboomer What excuses? I didn't deny that anyone was fat... In case you didn't know... Another word for being fat is "overweight." Which you can clearly see that I wrote "there are people who are overweight and it is bad there...." So, please, learn some vocabulary and look before you type.

  • @AMANDAtheAWESOMEone you said its not as bad as he makes it out to be, but FIFTY % of them are OBESE by the statistics. id say hes being realistic

  • @zackboomer It really isn't that bad. I'm not denying that they're obese. But I'm just saying the people there aren't really stupid and they're not lazy. They just have unhealthy eating habits.

I'm not denying that all of them are lazy or stupid. I'm just saying it really isn't as bad as they make it out to be.

  • @AMANDAtheAWESOMEone it really is, though... y'know, I once met two grown women in a bar in New York, who thought that Denmark was a state on the outskirts of the US... didnt know that there were other countries in the world... actually didnt know other countries exists... seriously... 'the whole world' to them meant the US exclusively.

T H A T is american arrogance and stupidity. Keep it to yourselves - dont fucking export it to the rest of us.

  • that guy at 1:00 is stupid. i'd hate to be extremely bias, but mr oliver is doing his best to change the world his way. i mean, look at 1:29-1:31, it shows how much he actually cares.

  • @JonnyYang123 Actually, at that time, the guy at 1:00 predicted correctly. It's been like a year now and everything in Huntington still seems pretty much the same... Maybe he should have spent more time there! He should have brought Bob and Jillian... Because I'd so go and visit Huntington. I'm in a city nearby and I actually go to the doctors and hospitals there. So, I would technically be part of that roster of unhealthy folks. hahaha... Not a laughing matter really. -_-

  • Comment removed

  • I'm originally from the Huntington area. Not Huntington, proper, but nearby. I can totally attest to this. I'm in great shape, this video doesn't even TOUCH on the backward attitudes of citizens and the horribly obese population. I once heard that there are more pizza places in Huntington alone than there are fitness centers in the whole state of WV. I really admire what Jamie Oliver is doing, but Huntington is too far gone. Kudos to him for trying!

  • "what´s wrong With that?" "wha? what´s right with that?!?" XD JAmies the best

  • wow...dont expect this to happen in the us.we all love junk foods but no to eat every day and the worse is at school.american has a serious problem.

  • It can't be that the school is giving out unhealthy food. If a grown person wants to eat pizza for breakfast then so be it. But it can't go on that the government gives out unhealthy food in order to save money.

  • He's absolutly amazing!!

  • here in the US its cheaper to eat crap than it is fresh foods, for example in Georgia, at a local grocery store 1 can of carrots full of preservatives and junk = 99 cents compare to 1 bunch of fresh carrots = $3.99, or compare tostino frozen pizzas 5 for $5.00 on sale right now or fresh chicken breasts at $7.99 for 3.

as you can see especially poor people cannot afford to eat fresh and correctly, its all backwards, trying to eat fresh I run out of money in 1 week.

  • @qoaa

    Guess why...

    "Fa$t Food"

  • @qoaa hmmm yeah but then if every wants fresh fresh food and creates a demand for it then their will be more productuion of fresh food which will result in greater supply to meet the demand which will then make prices fall. like fast food cause theirs so much of it, its cheap but cause theres not sop much fresh food its expensive. Would create alot of jobs too in farms etc etc etc xD And ppl are getting healthier so its a win win situation if ppl are patient, this might turn america around!! ;)

  • I WANT TO HELP!

  • I like how the more jamie tries here the more this Fat town shuts down and turns on him, through ignorence and sheer just stupidity dinner lady wont believe kids in other countries learn to eat with a knife and fork from 4 onwards, the teachers dont want him there but their students cant tell the diffrence between a tomato and a potato, radio stations turned on him, his fat family just sneaks fast food when hes gone and the press write shite about him. Jamies good but if its like that why bother

  • I've seen him on Food Network.

  • Jamie, tell the americans to go fuck themselves. Way too stupid to understand. Your wasting ur time. Dont be mad at them, they just dont have the mental capacity to understand.

  • @WatEverMan2009 HEY!!! That's RUDE! And this show came out a long time ago! Have even you been following it??? Don't EVER bash my country or its people! It's just food! It's called will power... those kids don't have to eat pizza for breakfast because they don't have to pay for it and they can pack a healthy lunch from home if they want to. Oh and lastly... I AM NOT stupid! We're all humans and we're all equal because God made us that way.If you're saying that about us than it's about to u too.

  • @AmericanGirl3697 Sorry to be rude, but come on. Kids not using a knife and fork. What's that about? Oh and kids are impressionable and they will be guided by adults, on this occasions the adults in the village of the dam (huntington) have no sense.Sorry

  • @WatEverMan2009 Thank You for appologizing! :) Some people don't have the common curtousy to do that on YouTube but you did so thanks :) Oh and don't they have finger foods in the UK???

  • @AmericanGirl3697 We do but kids use a knife and fork from young, and they tend to eat much more healthier food. Never seen pink milk before. Your not obese are you?

  • @WatEverMan2009 nope i'm normal sized for my age and a lot of my friends tell me that i'm skinny but i just blow it off cuz their just as thin...and i can see where you're going with this and i do see your point... i've always hated our cafeteria food so you guys must have it much better over there but they are making huge changes to our menu starting pretty soon so we can start eating healthier which is ironic timing since we're talking about it lol:)oh and it's strawberry milk, like choc. milk

  • @AmericanGirl3697 My problem is there's just so much processed food nowadays, and its cheap, over here we have 15 year olds that are nearly 7ft. Somethings not right, and also so may mothers having kids with disabilities.

  • @AmericanGirl3697 point is love the schools not providing a healthy option and kids like whats cool pizza, burgers and whatnot. Point is this food shouldnt be put out for them because what its doing is influencing them into a routine of eatin shite like that so they dont know any better because their not taught to know any other food. This is damaging to how a child percives food. ya get it, gotta give them an education on food these days its a fine idea and would be fools not to embrace it.

  • Just tell those Americans rot..

  • I hate the attitude of some people. So scared of change. Wish they would just hear him out rather than dismissing his opinions so swiftly. Jamie Oliver, well done.

  • @underclass29 Yeah, they're not even giving him a chance. Let him change the system, if it doesn't work, then criticize him but at least give him a chance instead of saying it's a load of shit before he's done anything ?!?

  • I HATE that stupid TWAT dj. How DARE he and those dinnerladies make Jamie cry. Jamie's right - they are ungrateful miserable bastards. And what the hell are they doing feeding children pizza for breakfast??? Who does that - seriously?

  • a salad isnt gonna save there lives. gettin off there lazy asses will.

  • Jamie Oliver is the best :)

  • i need omre vidio about this where can i find it pls help me

  • Those teriyaki chicken strips are delicious! I used to eat those in oodles, but I've never in my life been overweight. Perhaps the issue lies more within the food consumed at home, rather than school lunches. Also, why are kids eating breakfast at school?

  • I started watching this show on ABC online and it's actually pretty good. :-) Keep up the great work, Jamie Oliver!!

  • Some people are so narrow minded -.-' I'm shocked that they can't realize they kill themselves AND THEIR KIDS with such unhealthy food xD Its disgusting to see...

I hope something will change, especially for the kids.

  • @a91kk yes, that's the worst part of it all: why would anybody do this to their kids?? It makes me sick :-(

  • You are awesome Jamie!! You have inspired me to change my family's eating habits. I have a 4yr girl who loves her fruits and vegies, she eats better than my 17yr old son. He eats zero fruits and vegies but I'm changing that! He has high cholesterol from living on junk and it's my fault! I'm killing him slowly. I'm changing that! I've already made some small changes that are helping but drastic changes are here! You ROCK!

  • @Teresa6538 I just want to add that my son surprisingly is not over weight. He has a height of 6ft on his side but inside his body is the bad part. He weighs 170'bs.

  • @Teresa6538 Glad you realised this - look after your son My mum used to hide celery and carrots in things like Shepherds Pie and Spag Bol without me knowing to get me to eat my vegetables. Sounds like you will be literally saving his life x

  • Good Luck to him. Jamie Oliver is brilliant and his shows are always interesting and worthwhile.

  • What a hero!!! Jamie's amazing! x This vid makes me tear up

  • The food culture in the US has always scared me even as a kid, and my parents were by no means health nuts at all -- there was always soda and oreos in the house and we ate occasionally at McDonalds. I'm all game for eating unhealthily tasty stuff now and then but the extent by which most of my fellow Americans go to avoid eating vegetables and fruit (fresh, frozen and preprepared) is disturbing to say the very least. Humans were not built to subsist on protein, carbohydrate and dairy alone!

  • Lol Tamatoe = Potatoe? Kids these days...

  • bless his heart, he is doing the right thing. and those who are grateful and want to take advantage will and be blessed for that.

  • People who don't even have the willpower to eat healthy foods deserve to die. Their are too many bigger problems with the world than to worry about all the slobs who struggle with their weight because they think fast food tastes too good.

  • Comment removed

  • @KevinBusomjack There is many people eating fast food all day and is very thin and there is many people overweighted that eat lots of healthy foods...so be careful of what you are saying and have a little respect!

  • Love you Jamie

  • it's a pitty that americans doesn't appreciate all the jamie's efforts to make them a healthier nation. what a great man he is. i hope he'll never give up and i wish all the americans to star thinking and acting differently as soon as possible. peace.

  • @kickorhit89 True - love Jamie but they don't deserve him.

  • this is going to be something amazing

  • harsh only miserable bastards in england btw im from england but thats nice of jamie to do that to help those people

  • @channyfan111 Yeah - I thought that was REALLY harsh too and SO untrue! But yeah - it's so nice of him to go over to America to help there too where he is needed (and if that sounds patronising, I don't mean it to).

  • hamstergeisha76 stop talking bollocks

Jamie has made a good change and child hood obesity is falling in the UK. The UK school dinners aren't perfect buts thanks to Jamie its improving and showing positive results

People like you are the reason some children are so fat. your in so much denile its disgusting

    GO jamie GO

  • @jssjmsn I'm not the reason there are fat kids. You people don't get the idea. When I was a teenager all the diet advice caused me to fall in a deadly eating disorder as I started to fall into problems with worrying too much of what I eat I started to restrict myself.

  • @jssjmsn Yes and in I'm a Child Anorexic he's blamed by one of the women at Rhodes Farm for rising eating disorders due to his scaremongering. She said something about eating disorders among the rise because

  • Being obese is not healthy. Many people who appear in the video need medical help not just a healthy diet. You can't change the mind of someone who wants to be obese by just changing his or her diet. People here are attacking Oliver and not obesity. Many people are saying that Oliver's diet isn't healthy ok, but these people are also saying that these obese people are doing the right thing.

  • @fabidivinecomedy The people in that area do need to eat well, but sometimes his diet he recommends is too strict if eating disorder experts in your country are blaming him for eating disorders.

  • @fabidivinecomedy Fat free food substitutes are just as bad as eating all the greasy fried stuff these people are eating in the video. Its good to eat real meat, veggies, and cheeses and too much processed stuff. I get sick to my stomach eating anything greasy that I vomit, but I ruined my body eating a very restricted diet when I was younger, so you have to find a healthy balance.

  • Mostly white city, and liberals and minorities call them "privileged"??????

  • go oliver :D

  • Comment removed

  • I can see why America isn't the superpower anymore.

  • freakin depressing

and especially how supportive people are of this!!

  • That is so nice of him, he is determined to make a change, and although there are quite a few ungrateful people he doesn't give up...That to me is someone who really really cares, and he is amazing for that.

  • omg pizza for breakfast! at a school WTF

  • omg.. He is amazing for putting all of his time and effort into all of this. I want to help. This video make me tear up. This is such a wonderful thing.

  • i asked my bro what the tomatoes were he said balloons, so the lil boy in the video wasn't FAR off...lol

  • this country is pretty excessive about anything, and we are stubborn fuckers, dont tell me what to put in my body! so i get why the people in town were like whatever, but pizza for breakfast? i never even heard of such a thing! yea. maybe a change is needed...

  • PIZZA FOR BREAKFAST!!!!!! LMAO, they don't even do that in the hood!!! jezus! corndogs was the most outrageous thing they ever served for breakfast and i remember cause it was the first one i ever had!

  • oh my god the reaction of those u.s people is just sick oh my fucking god...

  • The mass public are just sheep to big business. The business demons pushing all this processed/GMO foods for the past 40 years and gets worse each decade. Of course people are going support crap poison addictive junk. The people defend the crap because they don't know any better and even if they do, they don't care. You either know or you don't. Eat local and organic.

  • I wouldn't wanna eat that stuff in 1:24 that's for sure :D what is that? Looks like 5-year old chips...

  • i thought it was a chicken pattie? oh my lord, in denial, in denial!!!

  • but yet americans are more friendly and better people than racist german nazis!

  • @Ulansananelan oh my god your so stupid stupid like shit raist german nazis? your iq = 0 ? whats going on in your brain...

  • well american nazis arent any better then german ones... all the same shit!

  • melodrama.

  • As a resident of Huntington and someone who goes to school there, I have a series of flaws to point out with this ad. 1)The area MSA is the fattest in the US, not singularly Huntington. 2) (1:05) the breakfast pizza really sucks. 3) (1:13) If one takes a preschooler, puts him in front of a cameras, and asks him what a tomato is, he will get nervous. 4) (1:28) Jamie is faking the tears blatantly. 5) (1:45) This implies that everyone in Huntington is in mortal peril, which is not true.

  • @dhmmjoph keep going to school, then. A preschooler (pre-? looks like elementary school) who doesn't answer "tomato" in a split second when a bright red round fruit is dangled in front of him, camera or not, is either an idiot or unfortunately ignorant. Seriously. And everyone in Huntington *is* affected if these attitudes are those of the majority. Some because their lives (and their food) will suck, some because they'll just die early. Also, re: 1): "The others are doing it tooo!!" ?

  • @womanofimportance preschool is taught in elem. schools in huntington. And, you would be surprised what a 4 or 5-year old would do in front of a camera. Also, just because almost everyone is affected ( i am due to the school food, though it is better now) does not mean they are obese or in mortal peril due to some of thier eating habits. Furthermore, school food is like this almost everywhere. They are USDA regulations, not Cabell County. Besides, 'processed' doesnt always mean 'unhealthy'.

  • @dhmmjoph - I agree, and who's to say that this hasn't just been the class joker that was picked? The show is so heavily edited, you really can't tell if the class chorused 'Tomato' and the boy got it wrong on purpose. And I wouldn't have known what asparagus was at 5, it was (and still is) too expensive to be eaten regularly.

  • @dhmmjoph breakfast pizza? What happened to old fashioned boiled eggs, whole wheat toast, cereal, and milk or orange juice for breakfast?

  • yeah eat more you dumb americans , eat eat , then all of you idiots die, he ho dont eat pizza and hamburges to breakfast , eat pure fat and drink oil its going faster

  • Speechless... Guess those ignorant US people with an IQ of 3 (plancton scores 5) would also eat Soilent Green if it would be sold at MD or Wendys

  • americans...

  • hahahaha hahaha

    fat Americans

    hahahaha hahaha

  • Isn't this the kind of program that would get full support of Michelle Obama?

When is she appearing in the show?

  • dios que gordos, tan rico que es comer verdurita un estofado un guiso, arróz , pasta, fruta, mmmmm

  • wahh :-! pizza for breakfast in school every morning, how disgusting is that... shame on the people who are allowing this. you can eat this 2-4 times per month but not any single day.

  • wow... red potatoes. anything seems to be possible in america!

  • @Holowachuk wow... have you never been to anywhere that sells decent potatoes? they are fairly common...

  • hey Jamie, die Amerikaner haben dich eh nicht verdient. Lern Deutsch und mach in Deutschland eine Sendung!! ;)

  • Oh my GOD.. This is disgusting.. PIZZA for breakfast?

Americans surely have NO culture at all. I want to puke.

  • I'm from Huntington, WV and I'm so glad the man came...he seems like a bit of a tart but something does need to be done....else with the new health care bill , my city will bankrupt the country

  • Well, than this seems to be one of the best arguments in favor of the new health care bill, don't you agree?

Or would you just let your neighbours die, because they can't afford health insurance?

We need to start to think differently about our health and what is needed in this country.

    The maths are quite simple:

Healthier food = less ill people = more productivity = less money spend by the goverment = more money available for our children!

  • @Akuram let my neighbors die? Did I stuff my neighbors faces with thousands of calories daily. Responsibility is the word America has forgotten. You are responsible for taking care of your body and guess what....I get to pay for their health insurance...while paying for mine...that's great!

  • Another show about fat kids with boobs and their beastly looking patents:::yawn::: this has been done over and over. Didn't anyone watch TLC's " Honey we're killing the kids!". ? Watch documentaries like " two angry moms" or " super size me"

    Nothing new, not watching!

  • Where's Oprah?

  • It's amazing what Americans put into their mouths/bodies without even looking at the ingredients.

Boycott High Fructose Corn Syrup, all "hydrogenated" oils, no added sugars, cut salt way down, eat way more vegetables, fruits and whole grains, observe portion control, get to know calorie content per portion.

Eat foods you make yourself, not pre made, if you do go for pre made go for All Natural (and read ingredients).

  • pls Jaime...just let the Americans Die if they want to....

pls...it is best for the rest of the world.

    thanks and take care.

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs your comment is totally un-pc, but it made me laugh...lol

  • I completely agree with u.

Ps.: The arrogance of the ignorant radio showmaster ... let'm feed on fast food and gene food.

  • @Opjepasst74 i know! he is not the kind of person i want in charge of Huntington.

  • @dhmmjoph Yes where is Julia Child when you need her?

  • @KillinDaWelfareMCs

yes... agreeed. best way to learn something, is to fall on your nose first. If your family members die because of this shit, then you might change your mind.

  • Comment removed

  • i feel like Im being, irritating for commenting on all these, but: the way Jamie approaches this situation is outrageous and snobbish. Nutrition in Huntington is a problem it is true- I live there. It needs to change, but not because a celebrity with a TV camera over-dramatizes the situation, then embarrasses and degrades the people of the city just to make a buck on TV. And FYI- He was here for less than a month: got the shots he needed for the show and left. He doesn't really care.

  • Agreed - he has a messiah complex about nutrition, which is rich given that his own brand olive and garlic sauce, with 3g per 100g, or 5.3g of salt per recommended 175g portion of sauce.

  • Comment removed

  • @tru2manu yay! someone else from HTS who shares my opinion! we need more common sense in this town!

  • Comment removed

  • @hamstergeisha76

Well, unfortunately- no matter how hard you try to explain to some people- they like to believe what they have come to accept without questioning it or thinking logically. Kids associate being healthy to eating less. It doesn't work that way, and if I am not mistaken, Jamie is saying that kids need to eat nutritional meals. I have not heard him say once that they are eating too much. Even if you eat alot, if you substitute it for healthier food you will stillsee SOME change

  • @Jehanzeb14 How would feel if a dietitian kept you on a diet of 800-1200 pounds consisting of strictly salads, pasta, potatoes, very little meat ( only grilled chicken once a week), only soy milk and water as a choice of drinks, with fat free everything? That is not a healthy diet. Most people have gained more weight on "diet food" than anything else.

  • @Jehanzeb14 If he cooks good wholesome food ( like Julia Child liked to make) and not diet crap he should also be helping out children with eating disorders to eat healthy. Why are people in your country blaming him for eating disorders?

  • Jamie is about to face his biggest battle yet. Good luck bro, from New Zealand.

  • who gives a shit if these people want to eat themselves to obesity? there's NO WAY they aren't aware of what foods are bad and what they do to you.

  • @deytukrjabz - You'd be surprised. In school no one pay's attention to the health books, and many people never look at nutrition information. My friends don't even know what a calorie is or how artificial sweeteners work.

  • @deytukrjabz It's more complicated when children are involved. If the institutions don't promote healthy eating (i.e. pizza for breakfast in the elementary school cafeteria), how will anyone learn to eat well?

  • Sometimes all us obese, dumb Americans need is a british accent to the voice of clarity.

  • I love Jamie. He's gonna make a change. He is!

  • thank god someone cares ::thumbs up::

  • He's trying so hard that he even shed tears in a part of this video. These ignorant ones just binge away their lives

  • this show looks good

  • Continued: My son loves homemade food more than any other food, and he is only just 5 years old. I did the food test on him.I was pleased he knew, Brocolli,Cabbage,Peppers, Tomatoes,Potatoes,Mushrooms, Onions,Carrots, I then ran out of things for him to look at. I always try to make sure he eats correctly and let him help in the kitchen, if they help make it they are more likely to eat it. Best of Luck

  • Go Jamie, home grown in UK, he did it in UK with school dinners, now he takes on USA. You need to help him help you It will make an amazing difference in a childs and your life better food, better health, better attention in school, the healthy option is not more expensive you just need to learn how to use ingredients for best value and best taste you can freeze excess for another day.

  • this show looks awesome!!!

  • This is so hard and sad to watch... I'm literally stunned.

  • Good on you Jamie. I watched you do it in England and I am so pleased that you have brought it to the States.

  • This shows how much one popular chef wants to transform a small town in America. I think that this will be a good show. The first one that I saw showed that the kids didn't know what the veggies were, and that wasn't very good.

  • CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THIS!

  • he actually did change the lunch's in school in england.. it was really good.

but seriously he is so motivated and

when i watched the show for the lunchs and he showed the fat .. it creeped the hell out of me!

  • Lol was he crying? (Jamie Oliver)

  • @GraffQueen2 nah, blatantly faking it

  • didn't they say that the town is 50,000 people, and that half the town is obese....wouldn't that mean he'd be saving 25,000 lives haha, they kinda make this out to be more serious than it is

  • half of them might not be adults exactly. it's pretty serious actually.

  • And third... the guy who says " we don't wanna sit around and eat letuce all day." is cleary just a fucking hick.

  • @guccidoree

wait did you just say to ur own city that its ugly?!?

also if you LISTEN.. he says HALF the populations not all.

  • He did this in the UK, brilliant series, and regardless of whether or not people are obese, he makes the food healthy and delicious for kids without a change in price. You can be skinny as well but it doesn't make you healthy, crappy food can still impact you internally.

  • yes and the children have not seen a tomato in their life...are they from a George Orwell book or something?

  • Look up "West Virginia Town Gets Dubious Distinction" here. Huntington's been holding this title for awhile now...

  • pizza for breakfast???? wtf

  • Never cross my wildest dream that a chef can be a hero ... You're a hero Jamie!

  • Mmm I love me some Jamie Oliver!

  • Jamie Oliver cannot singlehandedly 'fix' the dysfunction that has brought about the toxic food environment with any amount of money. It needs to be a whole of society effort to change the way things are structured so that all the good foods ARE cheaper - $150 billion burden on the healthcare system as a result of obesity = profits of cheap food privatised and costs borne by people and the environment. Go Jamie, and Michael Pollan and everyone else at the vanguard of going into bat on this issue!

  • In the UK, major food revolutions, as Jamie has named them, have already happened in the fast food industry such as free range eggs in McDonalds in the UK. It can happen. :)
