  • This game looks awesome. But I think it would be better if you play as wario since he is always after money. But that just my opion

  • Well, as a gamemaker game this is absolutely fantasic.

    but, as a mini-game that has a time limit there are many problems.

    1. The time limit is far too long.

    2. The world/level is too big.

    3. Mini-games that involve collecting coins are usually very short and don't take 6 minutes.

    sorry for the negitivity, this game has potential to be somehing great but was ruined and condensed by the creator trying to make it a mini-game. This is better then anything i have made on gamemaker!

  • @itsamemario13 yeah but actually the level was big for a reason, so you actually had choices to make. Same thing for the timers, I got my best score in about 2 minutes. I wanted to make a non linear mini-game where getting the best score would actually be a challenge. Anyway thanks for the criticism.

    Oh and for me a game that's only one level long and that requires you to get the best score possible is a mini-game :P

  • Very nice, you were the one who introduced me to gamemaker in a vid, and i think i could probably do something close to this but not as good as this. I'd have to say it's probably the better game, but i'd have to see the other game to not be bias. Great game, musics a bit dull after a while although 5/5

  • heheh thanks, it's kinda hard to find a music that fits well for a minigame and that also doesn't get dull after a while :P

  • well yea i admit it must be hard, but atleast you admit it gets dull after a while. anyways if i had the sprites i could possibly make something close to this but a bit simpler

  • yeah, use the draw_text command and for the string parameter use string() and put your global variable between the parathensis. For the timer use an alarm and decrease the timer's variable each time the alarm is activated. And read the help file too, it helps.
