As I'm not from the area, I'd never heard of her before her dismissal when I happened to be visiting family and saw the story on the local news. After watching the handful of videos available on Youtube, I can see why everyone is outraged. What a character! How could you not love her? ANY festival organizer would be proud to have someone of such charisma involved in their operation. The mayor of St. Charles sounds more like the Grinch who ruined the Christmas parade.
