1. It sounds nothing like Duality, different timing, different key, longer pre-chorus, tempo, vocal style in the verse... Defiantly a lot more bassy. I don't hear Duality in this song anywhere... Furthermore it came out before Duality, so Duality would be reminiscent of this song if they were actually alike in anyway.

I heard in an interview that the song "Made of Scars" was written way back in 1995 or so. Cory's words dude, I swear! Other than that, I think you hit the nail on the head. @TheNameIsPascal r u not aware of what happened to corey. After Iowa he strained his voice and during vol 3 got divorced and drank a fuckload. That messes with ur voice. He got better voc. lessons after that, but in slipknot he sticks to low growls cuz his highs don't sound as good as dey used 2.

for one the corpsegrinder never drank, smoked or did anything to fuck up his voice, there were even times on slipknots first tour that corey trained his voice, hes been through a lot of shit, and his high screams aren't even as good as they were in the vol. 3 days, so you can say he doesn't try but we'll have to wait for the next SS album to see where hes really at.
